Letter by TAYE
Again, let me welcome you to the Reginald Movement. Welcome to our lives – full of passion and dedication for one thing and one thing only, Reginald. I cannot thank you enough for all the love and support that was shown after the release of the Spring Issue. I truly feel blessed and so grateful. In life, we are continually tested. As Regi’s, it is code that we always come out on top and remain strong. We must persevere through all obstacles in life and we must do this rocking our most stylish attire. At all times. It is written in our handbook that the impossible can be conquered with extreme hunger and passion. Anything is possible when you’re a Regi. // #imaregi Greet

Chipped nail polish. A run in your tights. Paying for shipping and duties. These are all events that we simply don’t have time for. Enter AlexaPope Clothing Industries, a Canadian online shopping boutique offering edgy clothing without the shipping fees and duties for their Canadian customers. Amy McKay, a Fashion Marketing graduate from Montreal’s LaSalle College, along with Marianne Thomson, a NYC Fashion Institute of Technology graduate, established the company after identifying a market for girls wanting to look like Riri, but on a teary budget. The boutique offers on-trend items from head chains to leather shorts, and everything in between, while eliminating the need to skip out on next month’s rent. With the help of Lauren Wambolt, Creative Director and Photographer, the Nova Scotia based team has already expanded AlexaPope’s clientele past the Atlantic borders, receiving orders from other Canadian provinces and the United States. So, thank you AlexaPope Clothing Industries for making our shopping world a better place! Now, who’s going to end those alarming chips in our freshly painted nails and those annoying runs in a new pair of tights? THE ALWAYS OVERDRESSED
T
he spring and summer months are a great time to explore and expand your style. A great way to do this is through cut and colour. In this look, the cut
and the colour of this amazing sequined striped J. Crew runway skirt is really important – this skirt sets the tone for the entire look. Tea length skirts and dresses are not very popular, it is important to add diversity to your wardrobe. Because I am short, I find tea length hard to wear without heels. So, I paired the skirt with a pair of peep-toe, t-strap Christian Dior heels, which lucky happened to be the exact same pink as the pink stripe in my skirt! To continue the colour story, I paired the skirt with a Dolce&Gabbana graphic tank. I really like how the tank is simple, yet still adds another element to the outfit. The pop of colour in this look is in the vibrant green clutch. Pink and green is one of my favourite colour combinations, so I adore this vintage clutch that I found in my moms closet! Sometimes in the summertime in Canada the evenings can be a little chilly, so I threw on my mothers MaxMara fur vest, it is chic while giving the perfect amount of summer evening warmth and it compliments the skirt perfectly. I garnished the look with Celine sunnies, an orange Juicy Couture seahorse bangle, my go-to silver bracelets and a rainbow statement ring.

REGI BLING BLING
S
ince ancient times people of all cultures have used jewelry as a way of expressing themselves, their social status, official rank, and their religion. Here at Reginald we are all about shining
bright; expressing our feelings through treasured materials. We collect pieces throughout our lives that remind us of distinctive happenings that have formed us and special people that have played prominent roles in our lives. We all have our own neck candy, arm parties and collection of ring bling and we each have a special place where we store all our valuables. All of our collections are distinct and tell a unique story – our story. So tell it loud and clear. Since the creation of Reginald, we have concentrated on the idea that more is more; especially when it comes to the jewels we wear. It’s about the pieces that make us sparkle, both inside and out. So throw it on, throw it all on and shine ever so vividly. It is your time. Yes, your time. #SHINEBRIGHT

Do not be afraid to try popular trends, like the blazer as a cape. The best way to try a new trend is to pair it with something that is familiar, like your favourite graphic tee (p.s. how maj is the Reginald Collection?) and your go-to shorts for the summer. You never know, this popular trend could turn into a staple in your wardrobe, and who doesn’t love repurposing something that is already in your closet? Everyone has a basic blazer, take a chance and turn that blazer into a fashion forward cape Regi’s!
