Grandvaux. Au milieu des vignes, Grandvaux contemple le lac Léman et les Alpes au loin. Sur la place, la statue de Corto Maltese invite à la contemplation du paysage. Inmitten der Weinberge blickt Grandvaux über den Genfersee und die Alpen am Ufer gegenüber. Zusammen mit dem Comic-Helden Corto Maltese können die Landschaft und das Panorama bestaunt werden. In the middle of the vines, Grandvaux looks over Lake Geneva towards the Alps in the distance. On the main square, the statue of Corto Maltese invites people to contemplate the scenery.

Der Abenteurer Corto Maltese ist die bekannteste Figur des berühmten Comiczeichners und -autors Hugo Pratt (1927–1995) und wurde hier in einer Statue verewigt. Ausserdem benannte das Dorf einen Platz nach Pratt, der mehr als zehn Jahre in Grandvaux lebte. One of the village squares is named after the famous cartoon illustrator and scriptwriter Hugo Pratt (1927-1995) who lived in the upper part of the commune for over 10 years. Tour de Marsens. Marsens-Turm. Tour de Marsens. La Tour de Marsens (privée), située sur le parcours de la «Balade dans les vignes» (p. 66), est l’une des premières tours de pierre construites en Pays de Vaud au XIIe siècle. Elle servait de poste de défense et de refuge aux moines travaillant dans les vignes. Der Marsens-Turm (in Privatbesitz) liegt am Weg des «Spaziergang in den Rebbergen» (S. 66), wurde im 12. Jahrhundert gebaut und war damit einer der ersten steinernen Wehrtürme im heutigen Kanton Waadt. Der Turm diente einerseits als Verteidigungs- und Beobachtungspunkt, andererseits als Unterkunft für Wandermönche. 44

Rivaz est surnommé le joyau de Lavaux et se situe à flanc de coteau. Le village est facilement accessible depuis la gare et le débarcadère, moyennant quelques minutes de marche en pente. La Fête des Narcisses renaît. Organisée de 1897 à 1957, cette fête célèbre une fleur unique, la «Neige de Mai». Im Mittelpunkt dieser Feier, die bereits von 1897 bis 1957 stattfand, steht diese einzigartige Blume, auch «Maischnee» genannt. Diese Tradition lebt wieder auf mit einem Korso aus blumengeschmückten Wagen, wie damals, als die Feier international bekannt war. The Narcissus Festival is making a reappearance in 2015. Lavaux Patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Au XIe siècle déjà, des moines cultivaient ici la vigne sur d’étroites terrasses soutenues par des murs en pierre. Depuis, des générations de vignerons respectueux des traditions ont entretenu et façonné cette exceptionnelle mosaïque qui, sur quelque 40 km, couvre les pentes qui s’étendent le long du Léman. Ce paysage culturel constitue l’un des plus grands vignobles de Suisse et intègre 14 villages bien préservés. Il montre de manière éclatante son évolution et son développement sur près de 1000 ans, grâce à une interaction équilibrée entre les habitants et leur environnement.

Lavaux UNESCO-Welterbe. Bereits im 11. Jahrhundert kultivierten Mönche an den steilen Abhängen am Genfersee ihre Weinreben. Generationen von Bauern haben hier die einzigartige Terrassenlandschaft gestaltet, welche sich 40 Kilometer dem See entlang erstreckt, und somit eine der grössten zusammenhängenden Weinbauregionen der Schweiz bildet. Mit ihren 14 Dörfern und kleinen Städten widerspiegelt Lavaux auf eindrückliche Art die intensive Nutzung der Weinrebe sowie die Entwicklung einer lebendigen Kulturlandschaft, welche die Kontinuität und die Entwicklung spezifischer kultureller Traditionen erkennen lassen.

Lavaux UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the 11th century already, monks were growing grapes on the slopes above Lake Geneva. Since then, generations of winegrowers applied and developed longstanding cultural traditions. Today, this still thriving cultural landscape covers 40 km along the lake shore and includes 14 villages and small towns. Through the well preserved landscape and buildings, it demonstrates its evolution over almost a millennia. It is therefore an outstanding example of a centuries-long interaction between people and their environment, developed to optimise local resources so as to produce a highly valued wine.
