FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Raider Family,
On behalf of Regis Jesuit High School, I welcome you to the 2022 Raider Football season! We hope you will pardon our dust this year as we eagerly watch the construction of our new Science & Innovation Center slated for completion late next year.
As a community, we take great pride in supporting our student-athletes and rooting for the red and white. At Regis Jesuit, our focus is the development of the whole person, intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically. Athletics provide our student-athletes with opportunities to pursue their passions while gaining lifelong lessons about sacrifice, teamwork and persistence as they strive for excellence in sport.
We are particularly grateful for the dedication of our coaches, trainers, staff and volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to our students. Whether in the classroom or on the field, we look for every opportunity to develop Men and Women with and for Others
None of this would be possible without the support of our students’ parents and the countless volunteers who generously give of their time and talents to create environments in which our students can grow and compete. Thank you!
I extend my sincere best wishes to the 2022 Raider squad—may you have many successes, good health, equal grace in victory and defeat and great confidence in knowing we are all behind you.
Go Raiders David Card ’87 PresidentRegis Jesuit High School is a Catholic, college preparatory high school offering single-gender education to young men and women in grades 9-12. Sponsored by the Society of Jesus, our innovative educational model combines the advantages of single-gender instruction with opportunities for young men and women to collaborate, serve, pray and socialize together. The school draws upon the nearly 500-yearold traditions established by St. Ignatius. Lou Kellogg Stadium sits in the heart of our 82-acre campus. It is the home of the Raiders and the Regis Jesuit community—a hallmark of our own 144-year tradition.
Dear Raider Community,
Welcome to an exciting 2022 Raider Football season! The school year kicked off with an electric football victory on the road at Valor, marking what promises to be an exciting Fall athletic season full of opportunities to celebrate together.
As we approach this school year ‘grounded in gratitude,’ we celebrate our studentathletes, coaches, trainers, staff, and volunteers for their devotion to our program, and for their willingness to say yes to our mission.
Our focus is partnering with coaches and student-athletes to make Athletics a formational experience, where we fully embrace our opportunity in sport to become Men and Women with and for Others in the water, on the course or court, on the track, on the ice, on the field and in our community, all for the greater glory of God.
This is not possible without the generous support of our Regis Jesuit parents, alumni and community volunteers who choose to share their talents and gifts to help create great experiences and opportunities for our students. Thank you!
On a personal note, I want to thank the many football families and community members who have welcomed my family to Colorado and to Regis Jesuit. As a fellow RJ parent, I’m grateful for your continued support of our students, our educators, and of our school.
Go Raiders Todd Schuler Athletic DirectorPRAYER WARRIORS THANK YOUS
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in their midst.” - Matthew 18:20
This is the underlying and guiding principle of the Prayer Warrior program, a program that, since its inception in 2010, seeks to lift and strengthen the entirety of the Regis Jesuit Football program in prayer. Prayer Warriors form the bonds made by our players, coaches and families, fostering a sense of community among members who choose to make a prayerful and positive difference in the lives of young men.
A Prayer Warrior is a parent, relative, friend, alumnus/ae or RJ community member who commits to meet weekly during the season with other Prayer Warriors to pray for individual players, coaches, staff and administration affiliated with RJ Football. We come together to petition in prayer for the safety, guidance, strength, courage and blessing of our team. We serve a loving and faithful God, who hears all requests and answers each according to His great will and purpose. Prayer Warriors is a minimal time commitment each week, yet a powerful one, from the beginning of the season until its end that makes a difference spiritually and lovingly in the lives of all those who consider themselves members of Regis Jesuit Football.
Thank you to 5280 Oral Surgery & Implants for providing the entire program with custom mouth guards!

St. Ignatius Loyola
First Principle and Foundation
Man is created to praise, reverence and serve God our Lord, and by this means to save his soul.
The other things on the face of the earth are created for man to help him in attaining the end for which he is created. Hence, man is to make use of them in as far as they help him in the attainment of his end, and he must rid himself of them in as far as they prove a hindrance to him.
Therefore, we must make ourselves indifferent to all created things, as far as we are allowed free choice and are not under any prohibition. Consequently, as far as we are concerned, we should not prefer health to sickness, riches to poverty, honor to dishonor, a long life to a short life. The same holds for all other things.
Our one desire and choice should be what is more conducive to the end for which we are created.
