LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Welcome to A Work of LARK, Regis Jesuit’s 47th annual—and dare I say, most ambitious—fundraising gala ever. The theme, identified long before any of us knew the meaning of the term COVID-19, is inspired by our students, each of whom is gift and a work of art, and one that rings as true today as it ever did. This year, LARK provides a special opportunity for our community to come together in greater numbers than ever before, to set aside for a moment the difficulties we are experiencing and connect to the loving community that is Regis Jesuit High School. Despite today’s challenges, there is no stopping our commitment to provide an excellent Catholic, Jesuit education to our students thanks to the unyielding dedication of our teachers. More than ever, we remain steadfast in strengthening the resilience of our students and their ability to believe in a hope-filled future. As each is a work of art, we treasure each one. And so, we come together. In light of the impacts being felt throughout our community, A Work of LARK will help us make a special Guardian Angel appeal to ensure that Regis Jesuit can: •

Provide emergency tuition assistance to the RJ families who are economically impacted as a result of the growing financial downturn.

Serve our students and families in crisis with support for technology, food and social-emotional safety, all of which are critical drivers to students being ready and able to learn.

Meet current school year commitments to our families and employees, including over $4.4M in financial aid, faculty compensation and professional development, program enhancements and campus improvements.

Our students’ hope-filled future has already been ignited thanks to our generous sponsors and the hundreds of people who have signed on as Guardian Angels. In addition, our Board of Trustees has joined together to launch our paddle raiser with a leadership gift that we hope will create the momentum to inspire others. We are humbled by your generosity, and we thank you! We invite you to contribute too. Most importantly, we hope you will tune in. Not everyone is in a position to give today, but every RJ student, parent, teacher, coach, staff and alum is a member of our community. We are grateful for the leadership of our LARK Chairs, Mary Beth Baer and Katy Truitt, who along with the entire LARK Steering Committee, have worked swiftly and tirelessly with the Advancement Team to transition our event online and ensure the success of this extraordinary event. As we navigate through our 143rd year as a school, we are reminded that we stand on the shoulders of the thousands who came before us and weathered every storm. Like them, we understand the extraordinary value of a Regis Jesuit education, because we’re living it. Together we will begin anew to build a future full of hope for our students. Welcome to A Work of LARK! AMDG, David Card '87

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRS We are so honored to welcome everyone to the 47th anniversary of LARK! With our virtual format this year, we anticipate it being our biggest LARK event, involving more members of our community than ever before. Our world’s unique and unprecedented situation calls for us to embrace this opportunity and come together in strength as a community! As this year’s chairs, we are proud to have helped imagine (and then reimagine) this year’s event to bring our community together virtually, especially at a time when we are in need of community the most. It is heart-warming to see both new attendees and long-time supporters rally around this event in support of the Regis Jesuit mission. We have been working towards this evening alongside a group of incredible people and want to express our sincere gratitude to all of the amazing volunteers and staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure its success. Thank you to our sponsors, donors, and underwriters without whom LARK would not have been possible. This year’s event and paddle raiser are supporting the RJ Guardian Angel Appeal which will ensure the school can provide increased tuition assistance to the many RJ families who will be economically impacted as a result of the growing financial downturn, as well as meet the current commitments to our families and employees and fulfill the school’s existing obligations. We hope you will consider your personal participation in A Work of LARK to support of our students and our future Raiders. We can all be a #LARKGuardianAngel in support of our students. Gratefully, Mary Beth Baer & Katy Truitt A Work of LARK Co-Chairs
