MAGIS

Magis (pronounced “màh-gis”) is a Latin word that means “more” or “better.”

It is related to the Jesuit motto, ad maiorem Dei gloriam (AMDG), a Latin phrase meaning “for the greater glory of God.”

It is an expression of aspiration and inspiration to do more for others and the greater good.

Regis Jesuit High School has a college- preparatory curriculum with a strong emphasis on the development of leadership, service and religious faith.

More than 97% of Regis Jesuit graduates go on to attend four-year colleges and universities. It is possible for academically-qualified students at Regis Jesuit to earn college credit through the Advancement Placement testing program. There are more than 25 AP classes offered and honors sections exist in most departments.

REGIS JESUIT’S ARTS PROGRAMS ARE CONSISTENTLY RECOGNIZED FOR EXCELLENCE.

Courses and co-curricular opportunities in the visual and performing arts offer students of all skill levels the opportunity to explore or discover their passion for the arts.

Media technology and communications studies allow students to apply a variety of techniques in real world product-based experiences.

With 1,000+ students competing for more than 70 teams in 29 different sports, Regis Jesuit athletics play an undeniably central role in the daily life of our students. At all levels of programming, we assist studentathletes as they learn to find God in all things, and as they grow in understanding of themselves physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

THE COLLEGE COUNSELING PHILOSOPHY AT REGIS JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL IS BASED ON THE JESUIT PARADIGM OF EXPERIENCE, REFLECTION AND DISCERNMENT.

The best outcomes are the result of hard work, research and thoughtful preparation on the part of the student. We have found that those students who are happiest throughout the college process are those who understand their abilities and needs, dedicate time to research and visit colleges, and are thorough, thoughtful, organized and balanced in their approach. There are many rites of passage as adolescents move toward independence. Done well, the college search and application process provides an opportunity for students to develop skills essential for success in college and in life.

THE COLLEGE PROCESS IS VERY INDIVIDUALIZED FOR EACH STUDENT AND FOR EACH FAMILY. WE REALLY HELP TO EMPOWER THEM TO BE A HUGE PART OF THEIR PROCESS. ABOUT 250 COLLEGES VISIT REGIS JESUIT EVERY YEAR. EVEN FROM FRESHMAN YEAR, STUDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO SPEAK WITH THOSE ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVES WHEN THEY’RE ON CAMPUS.

e recognize that tuition can present a real barrier to students and families which is why we work hard to make more than $7 million in financial aid available on an annual basis. Families should not be discouraged from choosing Regis Jesuit because of the cost of tuition.

THROUGH THE GENEROSITY OF ALUMNI, PARENTS AND FRIENDS, REGIS JESUIT IS ABLE TO MAKE SIGNIFICANT FUNDS AVAILABLE TO FAMILIES WHO CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY THE FULL TUITION. THE SCHOOL WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL AID TO HELP TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THOSE FAMILIES.
