The scene of a man standing on the Kodanadu View Point, South India against the layers of clouds watching the sunrise leaves a deep impression in my heart. With the chilling wind blowing strongly at such high attitudes, I quickly composed my shot and fired a few shots.
Our minds can only archive visual images of what we have seen temporarily. As this is not permanent, our memory often fails us as time passes by. As an artist, I am able to capture and store the visual images permanently. Nothing can be more important than the stability of a memory card to record visual images. The fast writing speed of the Kingston CF card allows me to capture wildlife in action through a continuous burst of 9 frames per second. On the top of that, with Easy Recovery Professional software from Kingston, I always have the peace of mind knowing that all my images can be recovered should any of my files be accidentally corrupted or deleted. Memory stores the record of experience. Not everyone is able to explore wildlife in National Parks or trek through primary rainforests. Sitting in a landrover for at least 8 hours going through undulating terrains is certainly a rough experience. The unending wait for a leopard to appear at the pool of water in Yala National Park is a test of patience. At the end of the day, I hope that all the images that I capture can bring my viewers to the visual experience of being at the places that I have explored.
M e m o r i e s Every picture in here tells a story. I hope that these images will trigger your memories. You can then make use of the blank pages in this book to write down some of your own life stories. Make this book your own. Keep it as a journal of memories. Life loses its meaning if we let our happy occasions and fond memories fade away. Do you remember when was the last time your good friend hugged you? Your loved one kissed you? Or who you could call for help at 3:00 in the morning? Many of these pictures are captured by chance and have personally touched my life. I believed they will also touch yours. Life is short, but memories make a great impact.

Many people shudder at the thought of rain on a travel trip. For me, bad weather equates to great opportunities to capture unique composition and imagery. Shooting in continuous downpour for more than 4 hours is common during my journeys. Often, I am in a position when it is not advisable to change CF cards. Hence, I really appreciate Kingston 8GB CF Card to ease these situations. Never do I need to worry about running out of memory space in such adverse conditions.

Once I returned to my hotel, I downloaded the images from my Kingston CF card to my laptop. A closer look at these shots show the layers of clouds flowing fluidly like gentle water flowing in a stream. Instantly, I felt that I have visited heaven. Without a reliable and fast memory card, I could never have the assurance that all the images could be captured and recorded completely.

Real Love Children are the most real.
This picture reminds me of their simple act of care toward someone they love; their childlike way of showing love with a hug that says it all.
Sweet Moment
I was sitting by the dock enjoying the beauty of a peaceful morning. From a distance I saw this man and his dog in the boat. Without hesitation, I triggered my shutter. It was so silent that moment he noticed me. I looked at him, nodded my head with a smile, and he did likewise. It was a sweet moment. Yet, no words were spoken.
Unconditional Love
It was a spontaneous moment. Without a second thought, the boy simply stretched out his hand to help the little girl. This willing act of love is perhaps a lesson we should learn.
Friendliest Hugs
A friendly tease, a warm hug by the street. Life can be boring but we can choose to make our day a joyful one.
Heart to Heart Communication
It is not just about speaking your mind; it is about the willingness to listen. I’ve heard that many parents today have difficulty communicating with their children. I think it might be due to the lack of a listening ear.
Time is precious . . .

Stressful Life but Peaceful Sleep This photograph was taken at a market in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The woman was selling traditional handicrafts for a living while carrying her child who was sleeping peacefully, oblivious to all that was going on. This picture shows us that even in the harsh reality of life, we can still enjoy rest and peace.

Feeding This picture was taken in an orphanage in Myanmar. It was meal time for these children, and each teacher fed seven of them from the same bowl. These orphans would gather quickly as they saw what was in their teacher’s hand. With eyes wide opened, they stared at the spoon each time it was lifted up, wondering if the next turn would be theirs. This scene reminds me of a mother bird feeding her babies in the nest.
Contrast this image with today’s children in large cities where they take hours to finish a meal. I wonder about how fortunate or perhaps how spoiled our children are when they can choose or even demand for what they like to eat.
I think we need to appreciate what we have in life. We ought to help our children learn this precious lesson by not giving them what they want all the time. The more we give them, the more we may be taking away from them.

After the Tsunami When I went back again in October 2006, I could still find fishing boats swept inland by the waves. Still today they remain there—no longer in use. They are like monuments that remind people: “It is better to remember the loss of our loved ones than to forget what happened.” We ought to look back at the past and move on towards the future.

Finding Peace As I walked along the beach, I saw them standing, facing the sea. I quickly positioned myself to capture this moment of mourning. Commitment From far, they trotted close, eyes fixed on each other—a moment that showed their deep love and devotion. Horses are monogamous. They have eyes only for their one and only love. Not so with many people today. Quite a few of my friends gave up on their marriage because of the lack of commitment. But marriage is not just about the feeling of love; it is a promise we made on the day we said our vows to each other on our wedding day. It is an eternal seal between the two—husband and wife. I, (Bride/Groom), take you (Groom/Bride), to be my wedded (wife/ husband). To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part. And hereto I pledge you my faithfulness. After a marriage fell apart, the ones I care most for are the children. These kids made no mistake but they have to bear the consequences of their parent’s mistake for the rest of their life. Kids learn by example. And parents are their role models. Guess what will their life be like in the future? In another 20 years down the road, we will realize how much wisdom we lack, especially those friends who have made the mistake of tearing their marriage apart. For we will reap what we sow. Remember the stupid decisions we made 20 years ago when we were younger? Our decision today will also determine how stupid we will feel 20 years from now.

Friends of Different Species The small bird perched itself on the large rhinoceros’ horn without any hesitation or fear. This is a unique reminder of how animals of different species could often get along harmoniously. But we humans do not understand that there are no perfect friends. Sometimes the more we expect, the greater our disappointment. Many good friends do not understand this principle, hence they lose their friendship. We sometimes even take our loved ones for granted. “Our lips and teeth are so close, and yet sometimes we accidentally bite our lips. Does this mean we should pull out our teeth?“ How can we stay close and continue to be good friends? We should be like these animals who understand and accept each other’s strengths and weaknesses.

Overlooking I simply love photography. It is a way that I can express myself—to capture life’s moments and God’s creation. My passion is to create pictures that will touch lives, and to share God’s wondrous creation so that others may have the opportunity to appreciate His works. Many of the pictures that I have taken have personally moved me and changed my life perspectives. One such moment was when I was standing on top of this mountain, overlooking God’s creation with clouds flowing past like a river dispersing into the great expanse. “Wow! What a great moment! How I wish all my friends could be here with me to see it for themselves.” I thank God every time I remember you. –– Philippians 1:3

The Journey of Life
Life is not merely about the destination; the journey is just as important. Friends, have you ever thought of what could you bring with you from this earth when you depart to heaven? It is friendship! I believed my friends will be welcoming me in heaven. We would be rejoicing in the great reunion there. And for those who would come after me, I will welcome them then. So remember to treasure your friends, they are hard to come by. This is truely “friends forever. Life on earth is short, so sign up for eternal life in heaven today.
