Dazzling Delight Starting your own business is one of the most popular ways to create a path to financial and personal freedom. Rather than spending your time working at a job you hate, you can opt to develop your own product or service and do something that you love. This usually leads to a more fulfilling and directed career that has not only monetary reward, but personal reward as well.

A young woman has a distinct advantage as an entrepreneur because she has the ability to take people by surprise and leverage this to her advantage. The gracious, elegant and charming Delphine Darsono is one such person. The list of business establishments that she currently owns and operates is numerous. For instance she, together with Miss Elizabeth Wahyu were responsible for setting up Darling Rock Accessories, one of the leading designer accessories boutique here in Indonesia. She is also a key player in bringing Fame Agenda, a Melbourne-based label to Indonesia. Fame Indonesia is known for its funky and eye-catching take on fashion, and prides itself for creating unique and niche designs on its clothing. To further add to her eclectic mix of business interests, Miss Delphine owns and operates GAIA Tea and Cake alongside Miss Ratna Soemantri. GAIA Tea and Cake specialises in providing the very best tea products in Indonesia, with each item carefully selected from the best tea plantations across Indonesia to ensure that it has all the excellent qualities of what the perfect cup of tea would constitute – flavour, aroma and health efficacy. The effusive and vivacious Miss Delphine’s business instincts truly come to the fore in the world of fashion and clothing. This is evidently seen with her May and June boutique which has come up with a unique take on flower prints for the discerning fashionable urban woman. Another notable venture undertaken by Miss Delphine has been Alleira Batik - founded in 2005, with its name being a phonetic symbolism of the english word ‘allure’. Alleira Batik has set about changing the way Batik is perceived both locally and internationally, adding a tinge of glamour and sophistication into this most wonderful of clothing material. It is jewellery where Miss Delphine’s artistry and panache create the biggest impression as she established D&C Jewelry., which has its new store in the premium shopping centre, Plaza Indonesia. The store features the latest diamond collections, featuring a number of familiar Italian brands such as Mangiarotti, Bibigi and Giloro. D&C Jewllery also boasts an elegantly designed pearl jewelry collection including those made by world-famous pearl jewelry maker, Hodel Switzerland. Customers looking for vintage jewelry can also opt for the collections by Triquetra-Co. Miss Delphine cites the importance of teamwork, which has been fundamental in her expanding her businesses to encompass the above mentioned stores and outlets. Additionally she can also call upon her background as a certified gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America which gives her the competitive advantage in selling diamonds, gems and jewels of repute. Her philosophy in ensuring maximum customer satisfaction, and in espousing the “customer always comes first” rule, has seen her businesses thrive and grow from strength to strength. As an entrepreneur in general, you will need to develop relationships with your network of allies and friends and Miss Delphine can count three of her close confidants Miss Dyana Dewi, Miss Lisa Maharja and Mr. Cipry Tjan as fundamental components behind the success of all her current business ventures. As for her future plans, Miss Delphine states that she “wants to grow the existing brands i have both locally and internationally. In addition, my business and i are always on the look out for new and exciting ideas. Personally, i intend to spend more time with my family, whilst also travelling and making sure that my three year old boy gets as much exposure to life and things around him at a young age.” Among the priciples and philosophies that she has closely adhered to are to “always remember what is important to you and who or what you love. We are all capable of great things and will make time for what we love,” remarks Miss Delphine. Away from the rigours of work, Miss Delphine likes to go running and swimming, as well as wine tasting and trying out new activities. “I think it is important to try and see new things, as it expands your mind. This is crucial in developing a creative thinking streak which is important from a business aspect as well.” Being a doting mother and family woman has also changed Miss Delphine as she cites the decline in her sleeping hours, which she uses as a source of motivation to drive her to perform to her highest capabilities. A truly outstanding individual, Miss Delphine abides by her motto “to always grow as a better person and to help and love people around me” a philosophy and notion of life that we hope percolates into the moral consciousness of everyone inspired by her drive and desire.

D&C JEWELRY Exclusively Designed
Indonesia’s jewellery brand, D&C Jewelry has just re-launched and rebranded itself with the new trademark name Delphine & Co Jewelry to be closer by heart and memory of its customers. The elegance and luxury of Indonesian jewellery is now showcasing its products at Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta after moving its previous gallery from Gandaria City on the 25th of May 2014. Besides its own product, Delphine & Co Jewelry also offers international brands such as their frontline jewels from Hodel of Switzerland, as well as Bibigi, Maniorotti and Giloro from Italy.
30
The jewellery fashion house was first founded by Delphine Darsono, a professional jewelry who was certified by Gemmological Institute of America (GIA), using its first brand name, D&C Jewelry, in March 2012. The label has been known in short time as being consistent in jewellery design mixed with a very interesting concept, by quietly transforming the landscape of modern jewellery design with captivating originality. In a tasteful design, the collection is art-bold and beautiful, and highly seductive in style.

5/12/15 6:53 PM
A strong influence of the local culture and taste for designs is found in almost each piece of their jewellery, where mother nature is coarsely interpreted - clover leaves, roses, individual leaves and pearls on earrings and bangles; the Christian cross and a cat in pendants and necklaces; flamingos and dolphins in hogels. Each piece carefully designed and crafted with meticulous details. The elegance and luxury is nothing simple, but rather elaborate and exhaustive -- reminding us of a typical Indonesian taste in batik and classic Indonesian furniture designs which reflect the exact culture of beauty in many minor decorative features.
Delphine & Co Jewelry started out by believing that fashion orientation in Indonesia has been subject to major and substantial development in recent years. Indonesians are increasingly more and more concerned in what they wear, ranging from the ones who are more fashion savvy until those who are edy and adventurous in expressing their fashionable taste. This is where Delphine & Co comes in with lavish and classy jewellery collection. Their jewellery carries the local signature style, thus decorating beautiful Indonesian women with classical Indonesian luxury.

RICHARD MILLE
Fleur Tourbillons and Diamond Twister
RM 19-02 TOURBILLON FLEUR In the world of Horology, the Richard Mille tourbillon is considered the most difficult to make. The idea of catching the very substance of life using mechanical means was born during the Age of Reason, motivated by concepts of philosophers in attempts to understand nature. And so is the same angst transferred to Richard Mille’s RM 19-02, the Tourbillon Fleur. At the lower left of the dial, we see a Magnolia surrounding a flying tourbillon escapement with 5 delicate, hand-crafted coloured petals. Positioned at 7 o’clock is the “flying tourbillon” which gives an impression of weightlessness, offering perfect visibility with its center set with precious stones to symbolize the stamens of the Magnolia flower. An additional security system in

the form of a torque limiting crown prevents any overwinding. Spline screws in Grade 5 Titanium for the bridges permit better control of the watch during assembly. This Titanium alloy is biocompatible and extremely strong and ridgid, allowing the gear train to function effortlessly. The bezel is in anti-glare sapphire and the watch has 36 hours reserve life. The Richard Mille Tourbillon Fleur is an endless cycle of birth and regeneration expressed in metal and precious stones for your exciting life. RM 51-02 TOURBILLON DIAMOND TWISTER This diamond twister high jewelry tourbillon takes all of its cues from the swirling form of a twisting spiral, a shape expressed in

many organic forms around us in the natural environment. The spray of diamonds emanating outwards in 14 rays from the tourbillon escapement at 6 o’clock can also be associated with the spiraling vortex one perceives in myriad galaxies of the Milky Way, a universal pattern that relates to the organic growth found within certain sea creatures, plants, trees and animals. The baseplate of the manual winding tourbillon has been created of Black Onyx. Onyx varieties with rectilinear black and white parallel stripes are actually a part of the agate family, whereas
the fully black type is what one commonly calls true Black Onyx. An additional security system in the form of a torque limiting crown prevents any overwinding. Each spiral ray of the watch is perfectly set with a single row of diamonds; the case is set with white diamonds, and black sapphires have been added to accentuate case details. The crown has also been set with 3 rows of diamonds to complete the brilliant richness of this shimmering new timepiece. The RM 51-02 Diamond Twister will be available in an edition of 30 pieces.

ROGER DUBUIS Astral Skeleton
Roger Dubuis has been at the forefront of contemporary Haute Horlogerie since 1995. Its audacious creations, firmly anchored in the 21st century, bear the mark of all the savoir-faire and expertise of the finest watchmaking mechanisms combined with powerful and daring designs. Boldness and extravagance are the brand’s signatures, and determination its engine. At the SIHH 2015, Roger Dubuis presented two skeleton-work Excalibur creations that each in their own way confirm the unique angle adopted by the Manufacture in its interpretation of this stand-out field of horological excellence. The Excalibur collection has come to symbolise the consistently unconventional Roger Dubuis vision of watchmaking, making it the perfect medium for exploring bold new skeleton constructions. All the
36
new models feature the unique star-shaped design of Roger Dubuis contemporary skeleton calibres, the Astral Skeleton. Technical Skeletons made a grand entrance under the code name Excalibur Spider, models in which Roger Dubuis applies its innovative and creative powers to extending skeletonisation beyond the movement to encompass a skeletonised case, flange and hands, while the collection also welcomed the World Premiere Excalibur Spider Skeleton with gem-set rubber bezel. The ladies were also honoured with the Excalibur Brocéliande models evoking the mysterious forest of Arthurian legends – a perfect example of the Roger Dubuis Creative Skeletons. Decorative jewellery elements are cleverly entwined with the skeleton flying tourbillon

movement and the dial, and the skeleton inspiration for this ultrafeminine interpretation is drawn from the delicate lattice-work serving to support ivy as it softly and seductively winds its way along walls or fences.Only a brand such as Roger Dubuis could have provided such an ideal framework in which to introduce such a stunning technical and aesthetic breakthrough. The result is a feat of cutting-edge technology and sublime stone-setting that proved unbelievably complex to achieve and yet produces a simply dazzling visual result. The Excalibur Spider Skeleton Flying Tourbillon picks up the signature features of Roger Dubuis skeleton timepieces: the star-shaped design, the tourbillon carriage shaped like a Celtic cross and the high-end
finishes including the circular grained plate of hand-wound Calibre RD505SQ.Moreover, in keeping with the Manufacture’s determination to push boundaries in all directions, the light yet robust titanium case and flange are also openworked. For those who enjoy striking contrasts, the white rubber strap version vividly highlights the technical titanium of the signature triple lugs. By thus applying its pioneering know-how in the field of contemporary skeleton calibres to the exterior of its timepieces, Manufacture Roger Dubuis has found an ideal showcase for the superlative quality implied by its 100% Poinçon de Genève certified production.

Omega Globemaster Your Master Chronometer
Created in the true spirit of OMEGA, the Globemaster houses the brand’s most advanced mechanical movement and features a design inspired by early Constellation models that represent horological expertise and OMEGA’s legacy of precision and outstanding performance. Each watch is certified through a series of independent tests – a revolutionary process that establishes a new quality standard in the watch industry. Two design features that define the Globemaster are its dial and its bezel. OMEGA’s history also influenced the Globemaster’s caseback. Representing the precision awards that the watchmaker received for the outstanding performance of its movements during the famous chronometer observatory trials in the 1940s and 1950s is a medallion stamped with an image of a cupola of an observatory where the precision competitions took place. Eight stars in the sky above the observatory symbolize the most important precision records that OMEGA set and, reflecting how the brand’s commitment to quality has endured, the stars also signify the eight METAS-certified criteria that a timepiece and its movement must pass in order to receive Master Chronometer status.

Available in a wide range of materials including 18K Sedna™ gold, 18K yellow gold and stainless steel, the Globemaster will forever be recognised as the first Master Chronometer. The 39 mm timepiece features the iconic pie-pan dial made famous by the Constellation models in 1952. A sun-brushed blue dial graces the full stainless steel and bi-metallic models which are available with a bracelet or a blue leather strap. Silvery opaline dials are found on the 18K Sedna™ gold, 18K yellow gold, stainless steel and stainless steel and 18K yellow gold versions. The indexes and familiar Constellation star are applied to the dial and fashioned from 18K Sedna™ gold or 18K yellow gold, or are rhodium-plated or blackened depending on the case material and dial colour. The central hour, minute and seconds hands
match the indexes, all of which are coated in Super-LumiNova – as are the hour and minutes hands. There is also a date indication at 6 o’clock on the dial. Surrounding the dial is a fluted bezel whose top ridges are smoothed, giving the Globemaster a unique look that ensures it will remain immediately identifiable for generations to come. The bezel on the stainless steel models are made of a hard metal (tungsten carbide). Protecting the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8900/8901 powering the timepiece is a domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an outstanding decorative feature. A medallion made of the same material as the casebody has been set into the glass before the glass is fastened to the caseback, which is also decorated with four screws. Omega is horological excellence.

With its rich equestrian heritage dating back to 1878, Longines was keen to celebrate one of the essential dimensions of the equestrian sports: elegance. Building on the success of the Conquest Classic line, the Swiss watch brand has come with a new chronograph with a moonphase display: the Conquest Classic Moonphase, subtly combining the brand’s watchmaking tradition, sports heritage and innate sense of sophistication. This model will appeal to those who are looking for a refined chronograph to be worn amidst the excitement of the most prestigious equestrian events all over the world.

Gucci
Women’s Prefall Collection 2015
The Prefall 2015 Collection sees the return of the Gucci woman’s bourgeois soul as a progression from the summer season. Designs with sleek, essential lines mix with Seventies-inspired, geometric prints for a new glamour. Styles alternate between masculine tailoring and kneelength dresses that take inspiration from the chemisier. Silk is seen as the starting point for new dresses destined to become year-round wardrobe staples. Elegant and glamorous dresses play a leading role this season. Knee-length designs take inspiration from the chemisier. Defined waistlines, puffed sleeves, and fluid skirts alternate with more clean, jacquard mini-dresses are visually striking and evident in this unique Women’s Pre-fall collection of 2015. The leather dress turns heads thanks to new hardware: snap closures complete a robe-inspired design while studs and embroidery outline a crew-neck dress. Fur sets the tone for both day and evening, as seen on the woven goat jacket, shearling outerwear with Mongolian lamb on the neckline, and patchwork jackets in fox. Evening is multifaceted: from the printed gown to the tailleur, from
46
mixed and matched separates to the cocktail dress; embroideries, furs with inlay workings and mini-vests express an opulent yet composed attitude. An eclectic, nuanced palette reveals warm shades of brick red, soft burgundy, apricot, dark orange, hints of pink, along with cooler tones including slate, dusty blue, and ivy green, as well as neutrals in the way of charcoal, black, and camel. Characteristic of the collection, Seventiesinspired prints range from geometric patterns to a design of overlapping foliage reminiscent of camouflage. True to the season’s sleek sharpness, statement accessories have a strong, contemporary allure. The House’s interlocking signature acts as a closure for chain-style handbags – in shiny brushed calfskin, exotic skins or suede covered with studs. Striking lace-up shoes feature pointed toes and brogue workings on both stilettos and flats – in contrasting colors of python or leather. All of which are to be found alongside suede and python stiletto sandals. Let Gucci style you this Fall.

Lanvin Regal Splendor
Serene, regal, with no trace of artifice, of anything that could check her allure, the Lanvin woman goes her way in complete freedom. Released. Multi-facetted simplicity is equalled only by the most sophisticated cut. Whether it’s an ink blue, Lanvin Blue asymmetric sheath or a disjointed over-stitched brocade dress, with its emblematic raw edges, style feeds on refinement. Techno stretch gabardine in chalk or black, the chequerboard look is here. An absolute chequerboard where crumpled woven linen suits walk freely alongside supple organdie trench coats and virginal terracotta washed silk satin dresses. Stiletto heels or neo-antique sandals, a figure appears as fluid in silk satin or twill crepe as she is architectural in a mascara black linen duchess jacket. A skin-like wardrobe in shades of grey, khaki, ecru and nude, like woven, draped makeup. Just so many enveloping, carnal mists highlighting, in a play on net, slits, eyelets and jeweled straps, the movement of a body as it walks. When dawn breaks or twilight falls a very specific softness appears, far from any kind of screeching, noisy vision, far from obligatory femininity, blinded by flashbulbs and false destinations. Strength is revealed in the intimacy of a cocktail dress like a short kaftan in organdie flocked with cut threads. Paradise hides no longer beneath

X-rays. It arises, in half-shades, both animal and vegetable, with this brocade coat “les singes floutés”, or this printed organdie dress “animaux en cavale”, coming to recreate in the city, nature at her most surreal and poetic. Because a gown is worn as naturally as a T-shirt, because the body of “thirty something and more” women – Kirsten Owen, Amber Valleta, Esther de Jong, Malgosia Bela, Anne Catherine Lacroix, Violetta Sanchez – is deployed at its zenith, in the absolute radiance of a time
where nothing stands still. A body which is at one with Lanvin time. Without prostheses or wiring. Just highlighted like a smile with a lick of sparkly red lipstick… ready to love. To live. To give. Made to reveal a personality, allowed to choose shadows as often as light. Lanvin Summer is the celebration of the good life and the fulfillment of fashion for your lifestyle.

LUNGSIN Stunning Cluth
Indonesia’s designer, Aulia Rusnita Rusdi Fatah, or better known as Aulia Rusdi, has the Indonesian socialite and fashion savvy frenzy over her designs of handbags and a collection of other accessories, created for Spring/ Summer 2015 collection of Lungsin handbags. Her idea was mostly inspired by the ethnical motifs of Indonesia’s vast variety of local cultures, spoiling her consumerist group of bourgeous women the Indonesian way. Aulia Rusdi herself started her designing endevear by being a part of that group herself since she was only in high school. To the Jakarta Globe, she would admit, “Whenever I received pocket money from my parents, I would rush to the mall to buy some handbags. I would match these handbags to my outfit whenever I went out.” So there it is: a handbag designer born out of her own passion for fashionable handbags and accessories.
54
The designer started out by watching her mother stacking textile collections inside glass cabinets to leave it to decay and she experimented by transforming them into handbags with traditional textile motifs. The first experiment resulted in pouches made of brightly coloured Tenun Endek (a handwoven textile with a certain motif) from Bali. As she started becoming more and more creative and more and more productive, she brought her creation to social gatherings where friends and families were drawn to them and asked to purchase them from her. Her business grew through word of mouth and today the Lungsin bags, as she named it, are available to purchase at several galleries and boutiques in Jakarta and Bali -- Galeries Lafayette at Pacific Place Mall, Alleira Boutiques in Kemang and Gandaria City mall, and the Gran Melia Hotel, all located in South Jakarta, as well as in W Hotel in Bali.

As her handbags highlight Indonesia’s traditional textiles, it quickly soared among celebrities, socialites as well as government officials, proud to be promoting and supporting them to fame. Lungsin’s upcoming Spring/ Summer 2015 collection is already showcased in Tugu Kuntskring Paleis restaurant and art gallery in Menteng, Central Jakarta. Her tiny palm-sized clutches are embellished with Indonesian traditional handwoven textiles which is called “tenun” in the local language. The motifs are taken from traditional shawl and scarf of local cultures , called “songket” or “tapis” -- Tapis Lampung, Songket Limar Palembang, Songket Lepus, Songket Limar and the bright red and orange coloured Songket Nampan Perak Palembang, Songket Tiga Negeri, and Songket Lepus. The exhibition at Tugu Kunstkring Paleis was opened by Veronica Tan, wife of Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama.

CANALI Italian Elegance
Like Marcello Mastroianni riding through the thick Milan fog in a convertible in Vittoria De Sica’s “Ieri, Oggi e Domani” (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow), the Canali winter man will be everything we dreamed an Italian man should be: Impeccably dressed. While many designers this week focused on sportswear, Andrea Pompilio waved his modernist wand on Canali’s traditional sartorial style. Monochrome soft jackets and coats in double cashmere were paired with pleated pants cuffed at the ankle, and cream-colored casual yet refined double-breasted suits were roomy and graceful. “I wanted to do 1950’s but the textiles are completely new,” Pompilio, now in his second season with Canali, said backstage. His starting point, he explained, was in fact the fabrics. Checks and horizontal stripes were the hallmark of the collection. “At Canali we are constantly in touch with fabric makers and mills, and I was able to ask them to modify the ones I liked. They are made exclusively for Canali,” he said.
56

Pompilio’s affinity for eccentric accents, like bold stripes and quirky collars, was evidenced here and there. For example, there was a lot of layering — blazers over ribbed sweaters and turtlenecks with abstract geometric stitching, funky black and white suede wing tip shoes and iPad bags in burgundy with bold black handles. The sharp, tight-fitting tailoring came with horizontal stripes or a windowpane check, along with double-breasted blazers and overcoats in cashmere. Meanwhile the more casual looks included oversized knit sweaters, boiled wool and shearling duffle coats, an on-trend bonded suede coat and denim jeans with retro cuffed turn-ups. The collection stuck to a neutral palette of monochromes and creams with a touch of mustard yellow, petrol blue and deep marsala, which were used as accent colors and on accessories like the buttery leather backpacks and document holders. Overall, the line catered to a man with modern taste and classic sartorial values. Much like Pompilio himself, who was the first “Next Generation” designer to show at Armani’s eponymous theater in 2013. Since then, he has been pinpointed by fashion’s leader as a hope bearer of Italian fashion. “Canali and I are different, but we part from the same concept, which is classic masculinity in terms of design,” he said. With Canali’s budget and in-house expertise and Pompilio’s sense of culture, insight into the needs of a younger generation and vision of the future, it will be interesting to see what synergies will come from this union.

BRIONI
Riding High in Full Style
Vienna, Austria. On one side the legendary Spanish Riding School with its centuries-old glory and equestrian finery, on the other the Wiener Werkstätte, an early 1900s visual arts enterprise whose avant-garde yet timeless designs heralded the rise of the Bauhaus and Art Deco movements. Two worlds revisited by Creative Director Brendan Mullane with the heritage-meets-innovation mix embedded in Brioni’s success story. A journey that celebrates its 70th anniversary this year by returning to the catwalk, where it made headlines in 1952 as the first men’s wear house to stage a runway show. Trumpeting its very own academy of high-class riders, Mullane revisits the riding theme with the focus, passion, seduction and rigor connected to the equestrian world in all its regimental elegance, heightened to contemporary effect. It’s fitting, then, that it takes nine years to form both a skilled Spanish Riding School rider and a Master Tailor Brioni. The affinities to the horsey set are referenced with a subtle hand worked in the lean silhouettes, plush fabrics, labor-intensive workmanship and exquisite details. Quilted blousons, checks in various sizes and leather-bordered and belted coats fashioned from the finest cashmeres, often in double constructions, set the pace. And still, lean three-button jackets reveal softly-pleated tapered trousers that wink

at jodhpurs. Classic blue-and-green tartan blankets, a stable fixture, inspired dapper coats, taut jackets and duffle styles, again enriched with suede or leather details, straps and belts. Hints of personalized bridles and whips appear in braided leather key rings. Veering towards the Wiener Werkstätte mindset, the graphic arched patterns that ornate the sumptuous knits are made with 24-karat gold dustings, a tribute to the swirls on the period’s wrought-iron metalwork and Klimt pieces of that period. Brioni’s state-of-the-art sartorial techniques explore new grounds with embroidered and needlepunched patterns on a cashmere, wool and silk blend while hazy checks are effortlessly intriguing. The color chart rides high with Palomino beige, chestnut brown, dapple marble or silver gray, complemented with midnight ink, regency blue and opera red. The bags also channel saddle expertise with handpainted timeworn effects and contrast stitching either in supple leathers or with pony and fabric panels. Leather gloves, mink and silk scarves, cavalry boots and regimental double monk brogues add the finishing touch to the Brioni parade of elegant riders. Dunhill
Spring/Summer 2015 Collection For Spring Summer 2015, John Ray captures the notion of Escape. Whether he travels to the country or explores a destination further afield, the Dunhill gentleman always drives. Regardless of the journey’s end, driving is his constant companion. An act he finds infinitely pleasurable and synonymous with escape. For his travels, he has selected his wardrobe in a practical way that unintentionally reveals true character, there is insouciance to the way he combines them. Taking this as inspiration, a cotton silk ecru and brown driving coat in a playful drawing room blue windowpane overcheck houndstooth is the perfect companion for the Dunhill gentleman’s travels. Incredibly lightweight due to the silk blend, it is perfect for the Spring and Summer months and recovers easily when worn on a regular basis. Details on the coat include a single breasted notch lapel, a martingale belt to hold the pleats in place and raglan sleeves giving the wearer a streamlined silhouette and allowing the fabric to fall closer to the natural shape of the shoulder. Swiftly packing to flee the city either for a home soil retreat or in search of warmer climes, the Dunhill man, our habitual traveller, throws a selection of cherished pieces into his roomy holdall directly inspired by a traditional kit bag from the Dunhill archives, and aptly titled the ‘Duke’. Illustrating true expertise in creating the finest luggage, the Duke is intricately hand crafted by leather artisans

in Italy ensuring that each piece has a character all of its own with every stitch, crease and curve applied with exact precision. Fashioned in a French calf hide that has been carefully selected, and with a depth and richness of colour achieved by vegetable and chrome tanning that increases the bags suppleness, it will only improve with age and become a future heirloom and provenance item. Details on the Duke include alternating multi-coloured leather straps evocative of those used to identify luggage during the Grand Tour in the 17th century, and also of Alfred Dunhill’s humble beginnings as a harness maker in 1893. The hardware takes a number of influences from Dunhill’s rich archive, with examples including the soft silver finish on the brass fastenings reflecting that of a Dunhill pocket watch. Also mushroom rivets featuring 1893 branding and the AD stamp, engine turn detail on zip pulls as featured on early Dunhill lighters and a facet shaped padlock inspired by Rolls Royce headlamps designed by Alfred Dunhill. BATIK KERIS
Eternal Colour of Heaven
It has been Batik Keris’ mission to eternalize Indonesia’s culture by digging into its various designs of traditional clothing, crafts and arts, dance and vocals, and eventually reinterpreting it into fabric. By popularizing every bits and pieces of the Indonesian traditional art, they are making sure that it continues to be accepted and thus, continues to live on. Batik Keris’ stores strive to represent the perfect beauty of Indonesia’s vast variety of culture. The motif on Batik Keris’ batik uses the technique of traditional colouring of each raw material and fabric to present modern colours without diminishing the uniqueness of Batik. The technique involves several stages from the preparation of the raw mori to the finished product. “Mori” is the term which refers to the raw material used for batik. After soaking it in water and boiling it in caustic/ alkalic water, the mori is now called the riped
70
mori. Each ripe mori is now ready to be painted on. The printing of design onto the fabric using wax is called “cap putihan” which is “white stamps” in Indonesian. The first to put colour on batik are the main and greater designs such as flowers, stems, or geometrical shapes. A detail oriented artist now covers smaller areas, around the bigger designs, with wax before the fabric will be dipped into a colour to give the fabric its base colour. After it has dried, the dyed mori is now dipped into boiling water to get rid of the wax previously put on to protect smaller design from the colouring process. The last colour put on in a traditional colouring process is the golden brown strokes unique to batik. This colour is called “warna soga”, which sounds very similar to the Indonesian term to say “colour of heaven”.

The Pinnacle of Engineering
Ferrari can never be more proud. Its recent FXX-K has been named Red Dot Best of the Best for the top design quality and ground-breaking design, while both California T and LaFerrari were not left behind, but instead, singled out by the international jury, made up of respected designers, design professors and specialist journalists from 25 countries, to receive the Red Dot Awards for the two cars’ high quality design. Ferrari FXX-K had to compete against approximately 5,000 innovative entries from 56 nations. Red Dot Award is the world’s leading product design competition awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. The award this year celebrates its 60th anniversary. To mark the occasion, a particularly star-studded jury was engaged to judge the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015. The evaluation spanned over several days which eventually resulted in 81 entries being bestowed the honour of the top award, the “Red Dot: Best of the Best”. The anniversary-year Red Dot jury included new members such as Danish fashion designer David Andersen, German materials expert Dr. Sascha PEters and Wen-Iong Chen,

CEO of Taiwan Design Center. Together the team of jury discussed 4,928 entries and eliminated 3,500 through a strict and fair selection process. Prizes are categorized for product design, design agencies, and design concepts. The Ferrari FXX-K is a high performance race car and prototype built by automobile manufacturer Ferrari in Maranello Italy and designed by architect Flavio Manzoni. It is based on the street-legal LaFerrari. The “K” in the new car’s moniker is a reference to the KERS kinetic energy recovery system used to maximise performance on the track. The car is unfettered by homologation requirements and regulations. Thus, the FXX-K will never be used in competition. The designers of FXX-K is focusing on its aerodynamics, in order to deliver maximum efficiency at every stage of every track lap. The Ferrari California T epitomises the sublime elegance, sportiness, versatility and exclusivity that have distinguished every California model since the 1905’s. It is a car brimming with innovation that more than meets the expectations of discerning clients. Being a brilliant expression of Ferrari’s DNA, the design of California T has brought Ferarri to win the award. LaFerrari is Ferrari’s most ambitious project as it boasts the most extreme performance ever achieved by a Ferrari production car and features the most advanced and innovative technical solutions which will filter down to the rest of the Ferrari range. However, along with California T, it is the design that got LaFerrari another Red Dot award for the company.

LAMBORGHINI HURACAN A New Legend Begins
Automobili Lamborghini is taking a major step into the future: with the newly developed Huracán LP 610-4, the successor to the highly successful Gallardo, the Italian super sports car manufacturer is redefining the benchmark in the segment. With its pure and absolute design, breathtaking dynamics and excellent quality, the Huracán delivers an unparalleled sports car experience. It unites mighty performance with a character perfectly suited to everyday use; its wideranging new technologies work together in a fully integrated fashion. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said: “With the Huracán, Lamborghini is writing the next chapter in its great history.” Lamborghini is taking its purist, unmistakable design
86
language to a whole new evolutionary level. The design is bold and edgy, with beautifully sculptural forms. The starting point of the design process was the Huracán’s silhouette. The objective was to define the car with a single line stretching from the front end over the passenger cell to the rear. The side windows take on a hexagonal form that looks like a gem set into the profile of the Huracán. At night, too, it is utterly unmistakable: All lights, including the main headlamps, beam in LED technology – an absolute first in the super sports car segment. The newly conceived hybrid chassis of the Huracán LP 610-4 is a technical work of art that unites carbon-fiber and aluminum components. The ultralight chassis forms the basis for the vehicle’s low dry weight

of 1,422 kilograms; with its excellent stiffness, it guarantees the handling precision of a racing car. The new V10 engine in the Huracán generates its phenomenal propulsion from a displacement of 5.2 liters. It produces a power output of 449 kW / 610 hp at 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The new “Iniezione Diretta Stratificata” combines direct and indirect injection – achieving an increase in power and torque compared with the Gallardo and a decrease in fuel consumption and emissions. With its power-to-weight ratio of just 2.33 kilograms per hp, the Lamborghini Huracán achieves absolutely breathtaking performance. The top speed of more than 325 km/h and the acceleration figures – zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, zero to 200 km/h in 9.9 seconds – offer an indication of its dynamics. Thanks in part to the Stop & Start technology, ECE average fuel consumption has dropped to 12.5 liters per 100 km (290 g CO2 per km). The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 celebrates its show premiere at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, with customer delivery scheduled to start in September 2014 in Indonesia.

BENTLEY GT V8 S Sports Coupe or Convertible
The appeal of the world’s most stylish, luxury grand tourer is enhanced with the introduction of the new, sporting Continental GT V8 S. Available as both a coupe and convertible, the new GT V8 S models bring added excitement to the Continental range with lowered and retuned sports suspension, sharper steering, dramatic ‘S’ signature styling cues and a distinctive soundtrack from the uprated V8 engine. These two new models expand the Continental family and provide an even more engaging driving experience from Bentley’s already renowned 4-litre twinturbo V8 powertrain. Commenting on the introduction of the two new S models, Dr Wolfgang Schreiber, Chairman and Chief Executive, Bentley Motors, said, “The Bentley Continental is the definitive grand tourer. Its effortless performance, generous space, handcrafted luxury and all-wheel drive capability take you on a journey in refined style and comfort. Now, for those customers who want even more drama and excitement, the sharper, sporting edge of the new GT V8 S adds a new dimension to the
88
Continental range.” Building on the success of the acclaimed Continental GT V8, the new GT V8 S models feature a more powerful version of Bentley’s highefficiency 4-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine developing 521 bhp (528 PS / 389 KW) at 6,000 rev/min and an immense peak torque of 680 Nm (502 lb.ft) at a mere 1,700 rev/min. Delivered via a close-ratio ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, the increased power provides effortless, exhilarating high performance with breath-taking acceleration and imperceptibly smooth power delivery. Switch into S mode via the gear selector and the V8 S rewards the spirited driver with a sharpened throttle response while gears are held for longer with faster shifts. The coupe dispatches the 0-60 mph sprint in just 4.3 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.5s) onto a top speed of 192 mph (309 km/h). The performance of the convertible is equally impressive, reaching 60 mph from a standing start in 4.5 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.7s) and a top speed of 191mph

(308km/h). The increased performance is achieved without detriment to the V8 engine’s class-leading fuel economy and CO2 emissions, or its ability to cover more than 500 miles (805 km) between fill-ups. The new coupe returns a combined cycle fuel economy of 26.8 mpg (10.6 l/100km) and CO2 emissions of 246 g/ km. Models are available in the full palette of 17 paint colours, of which seven vibrant hues are specifically recommended by Bentley Design to match the sporting character of the new model. Of these, two shades (Kingfisher Blue and the new Monaco Yellow) are signature colours for the GT V8 S.

Audi RS 7 Sportback Dynamic Drive
Even at first glance, the Audi RS 7 Sportback reveals its dynamic character – the long engine hood, the sporty and flowing C-pillars and the sharply sloping rear end form an aesthetic overall impression. New design details add striking touches. They include the Singleframe grille with the black honeycomb typical of RS models, with the corners now even sharper and more distinctive. Three optional packages – matt aluminum, gloss black and carbon – make the look of the RS 7 Sportback even more distinctive. The central front air inlet bears the quattro lettering. Slight modifications have also been made to the bumper, with its distinctive air inlets. The headlights, also adapted to the new Singleframe, come with LED technology as a standard feature. On request, Audi provides the headlights with the innovative Matrix LED technology, available exclusively on the RS 7 Sportback with additionally darkened trims. This offer also includes turn
90
signals with dynamic display at the front. At the rear they are generally standard. The tail lights also have a new interior design. New to the paint finishes are the colors Floret Silver, metallic; Glacier White, metallic; Mythos Black, metallic and Sepang Blue, pearl effect. In the elegant black interior, dominated by the RS sport seats, the designers have discreetly revised the instrument cluster: the air outlet controls of the vent nozzles, the shift paddles behind the steering wheel and the quattro emblem on the instrument panel. The standard MMI navigation plus with MMI touch now uses the modular infotainment platform of the latest generation; its highlight is an efficient graphics processor from Audi’s partner, Nvidia. An eightspeed tiptronic tuned for sporty performance, with a tall eight gear, directs the power of the eight-cylinder engine to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive.

The 4.0 TFSI in the revised Audi RS 7 Sportback provides as before 412 kW (560 hp), with a constant 700 Nm (516.3 lb-ft) of torque at engine speeds between 1,750 and 5,500 rpm. The engine catapults the fivedoor coupĂŠ from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 3.9 seconds; the optional dynamics packages allow top speeds of 280 and 305 km/h (174.0 and 189.5 mph), respectively. In the ECE cycle however, the resonant V8 biturbo needs only 9.5 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (24.8 US mpg) with 221 grams CO2 per kilometer (355.7 g/mi). A key factor in this efficiency is the cylinder on demand (COD) system, which can shut down four cylinders during partial load operation. The RS adaptive air suspension, together with adaptive damping,
standard on the RS 7 Sportback, lowers the body by 20 millimeters (0.8 in); its control is incorporated in the Audi drive select driving dynamics system. Audi offers the tauter RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) as an alternative. A further option is dynamic steering, with its continuously variable steering ratio. The revised Audi RS 7 Sportback is fitted with 20-inch forged lightweight alloy wheels as a standard feature; 21-inch cast aluminum wheels in three color versions are optionally available. The four internally ventilated brake disks have a weight-saving wave design; alternatively Audi installs carbon fiber-ceramic disks. Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC) has a Sport mode that can be deactivated altogether if need be.

One of the first material used for SICIS mosaic is marble. As the most aged product, the material has been enriched with new colours, sizes and collections. You may have seen the traditional and classic marble reproduce decorations, bordures and roses inspired by the ancient mosaic technique. But today, the marble collections are different, thanks to the new cutting edge technology, which makes the possibilities infinite, allowing to personalise every realization according to one’s taste and budget. The Flower Power collection uses the painting of huge flowers for its background, starting from sunflowers, narcissuses, daisies, noble roses, water-lilies, anemones, lilies, tulips etc. SICIS’ Marilyn collection pays homage to the cinema icon Marilyn Monroe with a series of mosaic panels specifically dedicated to her. Skilful sequences of tiles are used to recreate all the fascination of a true diva. Its Gold collection uses 24 karats of gold leaves in all mosaic tesserae. As SICIS is synonymous with luxury, the use of gold to express its value gives it even a deeper impression of luxury in all its artistic, decorative and architectural forms. The artists and craftsmen cut and set every single tesserae and microtesserae entirely by hand, turning this art into a true masterpiece.

Aman’s third property in China, Amandayan, has opened in the fabled city of Lijiang. The property is made up of traditional courtyard buildings and presents 35 spacious suites with terraces and views of Lijiang, the countryside surrounding the city and the snow-capped mountains on the horizon including the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, considered one of China’s most scenic peaks. 5/12/15 5:16 PM
Nicola Bertazzoni The Pride of The Family Speaking of Bertazzoni luxury high-end cooking appliances, is speaking of an exceptional achievement of an Italian family over a time span of more than 130 years. After its establishment in 1882 and subsequently 6 generations later, Bertazzoni cooking appliances is the oldest business today that is still operated under the control of the same founding family. Family pride, and excellence in product quality, is the trademark of the brand. Nicola Bertazzoni is the perfect personification of that pride. Bertazzoni has a long history of being a cooking appliances specialist. It was born from a value of the area in Italy where the family came from, Emilia Romagna. It is an area where two great traditions live side by side and are combined in the products of Bertazzoni - culinary craft and engineering skills. It has been a family tradition to expect a high standard in both passion for the endeavor and in managerial excellence. The young Bertazzoni reminisced, “My father always said that first of all one had to want it, and second, you have to deserve it.” Bearing the same family name was never a guarantee that one would be involved in the family business as they want. Many of the Bertazzoni family members are passionate to join but are yet to prove themselves and earn their position in the company. The high standard demanded for passion and excellence is so crucial for the Bertazzoni’s, that in the end, the business has stayed within the same family since the beginning until today. The fact that sixth generation heir, Nicola Bertazzoni, is now leading the worldwide sales of the business, speaks for itself - he has deserved his position. “There is -of course- a lot of sense of family pride involved, as well as great sense of ownership, if the business stays in the family,” says the young Bertazzoni, “however, we like to keep it as separate from the business as possible.” Every family member has its own role in the company, and much is expected of them as is required of a paid worker, who is expected to perform exceptionally, regardless of the family loyalty that is shown. Nicola Bertazzoni proved himself as deserving of a leading position in the company, having achieved a Masters degree in mechanical engineering, and built a career in the automotive industry with General Motors,
Fiat and Toyota. He excelled and yet when enough work experience was there to climb up the ladder of leadership in the automotive world, Bertazzoni still chose to join and inherit the family business. “It was my goal since the beginning of my career,” he said, “I always knew I would join, but I needed to develop myself and grow outside the family business and away from family support, to earn a position with them.” Impressed with how Nicola was rising in his automotive career, his father took advantage of the exciting new changes that took place in the company and proudly offered a leading position to his son, to which he immediately said yes. When asked if he would ever change his decision if he could go back in time, the young Bertazzoni replied with a firm, “No”. “The automotive world was very challenging, as it is a highly competitive environment that demands a high profile performance in terms of management skills,” he explains, “I learned a lot there.” Yet, although cars is a passion and will always be a passion, he decided to keep it as it is. Switching his niche from the automotive industry to cooking appliances was not much of a change. Automotive in some ways is very similar to cooking appliances: both are technical products, both need to perform well, both need to look good, and both have industrial volumes. There are not that many industries that have such characteristics that apply to both automotive and appliances. It was planned out perfectly by Nicola Bertazzoni to start his career in automotive, since it was his goal from the beginning to eventually end up in his family’s business. Now that he is one of the leading figures of Bertazzoni Cooking Appliances, the company is heading towards his dream to make it the number one specialist producer of cooking appliances in the world. Interestingly, long before he was in the automotive business, Nicola Bertazzoni poured out his passion in a musical band, playing the guitar, and getting himself involved in the management of his band. Although as a student, it looked as though it would be a lucrative endeavor for him to pursue, his father’s passion for the business, and the family pride over the brand, inspired him to continue on the legacy of the six generations prior, to one day pass it on to his children and the future generations of Bertazzoni’s.

Leadership
vis a vis Good Governance
Preface from Chief Editor Dear honourable readers, thankyou for the warm welcome on the first, second and third write up under the new segment, ‘Management & Business’. We hope that we have provided fresh and interesting topic every month that has enriched readers who we believe are leaders from the government or business world. This month we will unravel the importance of having good corporate governance in leading an organization. We want to invite all the respected readers to discuss upon how to effectively implement this in their
companies and reap the benefits of doing so. Additionally, we are very excited that our off print gathering in the form of Master Class which will be led by Dr AB Susanto himself, in conjunction with the Art Appreciation event (AAE) will be held after this release. We hope that all honourable readers can make it to our event and further information about the venue and details of the programme will be revealed soon. Stay tune for the updates.
Unveiling Leadership and Governance to a whole different level From previous releases, we have defined leadership in various different ways. However, for the purpose of this month issue, I will put greater emphasize on leadership as the ability to utilize and mobilize resources toward desired organisation goal. In mobilizing we will need certain guidance that will need to be introduced to every member of the organisation. This so called ‘guide’ is necessary to ensure the organisation is going towards the right direction, whilst allowing manuevering within the corridor allowed and this is where the role of Good Corporate Governance comes in. So what is Good Corporate Governance? Are the noble readers familiar with the term? I am willing to dissect each and every factor of Good Governance as this remains a topic that tend to be overlooked by top organisation. From my past experience as a consultant having a good corporate governance is one of the key indicator of a healthy and succesful organisation structure. Corporate Governance is commonly defined as the mechanism, process, relations by which corporations are controlled and directed. Meanwhile, the governance structure identify the distribution of rights and responsibilities among different stakeholders and includes the rules and procedures for
122
making decisions in corporate affairs. Basically, there are four important aspects to achieve Good Corporate Governance according to OECD (Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development). These are, transparency, fairness, responsibility, accountability and information. Now the question is, Why is it important to inherent all of above factors in an organisation? It is vital for an organisation to promote level of transaparency in an effective manner and be consistent with the rule of law. Clear articulation of division responsibilities will ensure that public interest is served. Additionally, Corporate governance framework should be developed with a view to its impact on overall economic performance. Leader need to play the key role in introducing concept of Governance and be responsible in implemeting governance acquired behaviour. This will include: socialization and internalization process. Additionally, leader needs to manage the ‘grey area’ and most importantly set an example to stimulate good corporate governance in every hierachy of the company.

Profile of the Author Dr AB Susanto is an expert in strategic management. He is known as the founder of the Jakarta Consulting Group, a powerful strategy consulting organization that serves Private, State Own Enterprise and Government institution. As a senior consultant, he has gained broad network and experience in dealing with various type of leaders. He now serves as the Chairman of JCG, and Advisor for various other business and social organizations. For example; Commissioner of Sinopec’s PT Solaris Indonesia, Founder of Global Peace Foundation, UNICEF and also involve in several Leprosy organisations. His main interest and research include; among others leadership, change management, holding company management, and family business. He has published more than 50 books such as; Vision and Mission Development, Super leader, Corporate Culture, Family Business, CSR, and Strategic Intervention for Regional Economic Development, etc. Other than that, He is also a vivid enthusiast of gemmology (diamonds, precious stone and art).
Although, every leader needs to be aware that certain group of people within the organisation might build their walls high and prone to resist any change to the current organisation’s procedure. This can be seen as an obstacle in setting up a proper corporate governance. When staff do not see it as something beneficial, instead detrimental to their current work and operation. Therefore, as a good leader you need to be the leading factor and motivate your co-worker to think of it as a vehicle to reach the organisation’s interest as a whole. Accountability and Governance It is easy to define the first few factors of Good Corporate Governance mentioned previously, but not with Accountability. We can start by defining each of the term with Bahasa, Transparency equal to ‘keterbukaan’, fairness is ‘keadilan’, responsibility is also known as ‘tanggung jawab’, meanwhile information is explicitly implied as ‘keterangan’. Then what about Accountability? Will this be defined as ‘Akuntabilitas’? Apparently No! In big Indonesia Dictionary it has been defined as ‘tanggung gugat’ but this definition does not give clear meaning either and tend to lead to confusion. What I am trying to say is that, let’s accept and face it there are also some other oriental countries that do not have this vocabulary. This has misled our society to grasp its real meaning and fail to apply it to their organisation. Therefore, it is vital for leader to start leading their suboordinates to be more accountable with their work. I have one good example for this, during my time in Germany I have seen numerous numbers of Indonesian who resigned from their company because they feel offended when their superior was simply asking about their work progress. I can tell that their leader was opt for more thorough, better explanation and aim for some accountability but because most of them did not understand the real meaning behind it they would rather avoid objection and took it as some sort of complaints and decided to leave the company. It might be interesting there was a phrase in western countries like Germany “zur Ride und Antwort stehen” meaning, to ‘stand up to answer to your superior’, this is interconnected with the term accountability. A leader is more likely to be curious and want to know more not just
about what happened but he requires deeper explanation from the suboordinates, the perspectives and way of thinking upon facing a problem and challenges in certain circumstances. Although the concept of responsibility and accountability are often used interchangeably, there is a fundamental differences between the two. Responsibility can be given or received but not accountability. A person can be responsible but lack of accountability, simple example can be easily observed when individual duties were not clearly defined and people tend to ‘drop the ball’ or not wanting to do it because they feel it is not part of their job. The issue here is not just abour unclear responsibilities but emphasize more to the concept of accountability. With high level of accountability, that incident will not happen and better result will also appear within the company. I believe every leader must be able to guide and lead their followers to understand and embed both context, good governance and accountability within the organisation. This can be done by redefining responsibilities, reorganizing what people do. And restructuring the way work is done. Eventhough accountability is a broader concept than responsibility, they both take a great contribution to a set a good governance in the company. Closing Statement On the whole, realizing the fact concept of governance is critical in organizational chart, all aspects; transparency, fairness, responsibility, accountability and information need to be embedded in the organization culture and every leader need to clear the fog and ensure every member of the organization familiar with the concept and understand the benefit of having a good corporate governance in the company. Honorable readers, as an inspiring superleader we are given the freedom to manuever our organization and take control upon it but need to be reminded this has to be bound within certain boundaries. This can be achieved by implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) within the company.

time with artists, collectors, curators and other parties that have been an important part within Canna’s development as an art gallery. The exhibition was themed “Kala/ Masa” pointing to the time that passed by since the gallery’s first establishment, remembering every milestone of achievement and appreciating every experience of failure. The gallery’s fascination of time was inspired by the book of Stephen Hawkins, “A Brief History of Time”, particularly the following paragraph, “As we shall see, the concept of time has no meaning before the beginning of the universe. This was first pointed out by St. Augustine. When asked: “What did God do before he created the universe?” Augustine didn’t reply: “He was preparing Hell for people who asked such questions.” Hawkins may have had his input of time from the scientific point of

view. Gallery Canna had their way to have artists reinterprete time in their own language of art. Putu Sutawijaya’s painting “Dilupakan Sejarah”, which means “forgotten by history” is an exquisite impression of a depressing reality of ancient temples, neglected, and exploited for economical reasons. The exhibition of time showcases one excellent sample of how artists would express its idea of time. Putu Sutawijaya’s creation “From See From” opens up a new dimension of time, specifically from the dark side of the Hawkins’ black hole theory. Painted on a giant canvas, Putu depicted a terrorising black hole sucking in its spectactors into what seemed to be more of a black tunnel of time. Whether it leads to the unknown future, or pulls back into a horrofying past, it for the spectator to decide.

The paintings exhibited in Gallery Hadi Prana focuses on her impression of Jakarta. It was her daily life that brought her much inspiration as the influence of the city has continued to evolve since her arrival here. The first things that she first noticed while walking the streets of Jakarta were the colourful, vibrant street shops or “warungs who use sheet covers with pictures depicting their food offerings. The paintings then evolved into more of a city landscape style, where buildings popping everywhere and the
landscape changing by the minute. Her interpretation of Jakarta captures the modern skyscrapers and traditional kampungs located side by side. Her work has been exhibited in both solo and group shows in galleries, corporations and public venues, mostly in Japan, Canada and Africa. The exhibition in Jakarta showcases 16 of Teresa ROzkiewicz paintings, some of which are: The Composition, The Embrace, My Jakarta I, My Jakarta II, My Kebayoran Baru I, Peaceful Co-Existence, and Tanah Abang Market.
