THE M AC A L L A N Founded in 1824 in the heart of Speyside, The Macallan was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to be legally licensed. Since then it has built a reputation as one of the world’s leading single malt whiskies. The creation of The Macallan draws on the vital contributing influences of Spain, North America and Scotland, and of their respective natural raw materials, combined with traditional methods and craftsmanship. From its founding, through the subsequent owners of The Macallan distillery in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and into the present century, The Macallan has been recognised for its outstanding quality above all else.

THE GL E N ROT H E S The Glenrothes is an award winning Speyside Single Malt Whisky of exceptional quality. It is a combination of many factors, including an unusually slow distillation process in tall copper pot stills that delivers our characteristic sweet, fruity and elegant spirit. At The Glenrothes, maturity matters more than age. Our malt whisky is like fine wine and people – it matures at its own pace and not at any pre-determined age. Thus, we only bottle The Glenrothes when it is ready – at its peak of perfection.

JOH N R A M S AY Crafted to celebrate the peerless John Ramsay, The Glenrothes’ ‘Malt Master’ since the early 1990s, this namesake whisky is his legacy to the brand. Selecting a pocket of second fill American Oak sherry casks from Vintages ranging from 1973 to 1987, Ramsay married and reduced very gradually in strength what he curated. The result is a rich and spicy full flavour balanced by hints of oak and mango. Each of the 1,400 bottles available worldwide is etched with John Ramsay’s signature – a seal of the rare and limited nature of this edition.

V I N TAGE 1978 First bottled in January 2008, the Vintage 1978 is a highly valued bottling from The Glenrothes’ 1970s Vintages range. Recognized for its rarity, this edition is sought after by collectors the world over. Boasting a silky delivery with a long spicy finish, every sip is a medley of oak, vanilla and white chocolate flavours. This vintage is packaged in an iconic Glenrothes frame made of copper and oak to reflect the distillation and maturation processes which creates the whisky’s unforgettable flavour.
