BERLUTI Suave Ease

Berluti’s Spring-Summer 2023 Collection commemorates the sunlit season across a plethora of particular places: from Parisian cities of lights to Nantucket shores, from silky Shanghai to Lake Como coasts, from down-under Sydney to Menorca cerulean

This collection showcases a smoother blasé vibe to its famous ready-to-wear, fine leather goods and footwear, while maintaining the Maison’s bootmaking legacy through an artistic guiding principle in its patterns, colors and textures. Showcasing a wardrobe of strong lines, formally cut tailoring and functional dimensions in its fabric and accessories; contemporary silhouettes are infused with classical elegance.

A metropolitan sophistication of linen suits, double-faced cashmere blazers, tailored pants, straight Harrington-style bomber jackets, flying jackets and long sleeveless gilets come to roost in this harmoniously blended assortment. This mixture - embedded deep into Berlati’s iconic Venezia leather product lines – is vibrantly enhanced with a summery expansion of the emblematic Maison’s creative color chart, featuring new patina shades of Olive, warm Terra di Sienna, and gray-hinted aquatic blue Aveiro.

The Maison’s identity continues to hold strong by its hallmark iconography remaining present and well-demonstrated. Notwithstanding the patinated finish, the subtle Scritto pattern initially handwoven on shoes and leather goods has advanced its presence to bomber jackets and nubuck hooded jackets under pocket flaps or Un Jour zipper pulls. Furthermore, there are woven, printed or embroidered variants of Scritto on windcheaters, Safari jackets, knit polo shirts and Berluti shirts.

Novel variations of Premier Jour, Viaggio, E’Mio & Nino Duo bags augment Berluti’s leather goods line. Meanwhile, a new Greenwich Andy briefcase crafted from Venezia Cacao Intenso leather is available as a daily companion, which takes its signature contours and detailing from the iconic Andy loafer designed by Olga Berlutu for the ever-imitable Andy Warhol. Not only that, it can be held by handle or slung over shoulders with detachable straps.

Un Jour Neo, Toujours Mini Neo, Premier Jour Neo and Jour Off Neo all represent premier bags of the Maison’s marquetry Chess Patchwork pattern. Cleanly affected and fashioned from singular unbroken leather skins, this purely geometrically illuminates the maximum expression and masterful craftsmanship of Berluti’s acclaimed shoemakers. Moreover, the brand’s iconic Venezia leather re-emerges with a greater emphasis on lithe casual and tumbled nonchalance, found in two new Jour Softy briefcase designs known as Postino and Perspective Neo.

Founded in 1895 in Paris, Berluti has undergone four generations of shoemakers. In 2005, fine leather goods were added to the brand, then a complete clothing collection in 2011. Berluti currently has 60 stores worldwide with bespoke headto-toe services at workshops in rue Marbeuf and rue de Sèvres.
