AN INTERACTIVE NY SUBWAY CAMPAIGN This advertisement does not start out as eye-catching. It is not colorful. It is not notable. It is a white space. Unlike typical ads, this one is hands on. It requires the help of dozens of passers-by, dozens of handprints. When people lean up against this white space, their handprints leave a pink mark. A special ink prints the phrase, “Lend a Hand� on the
white background. Touch the areas without ink and nothing happens. Touch the areas with this ink and a pink print of your hand will appear. Eventually, the entire ad will be visible. This innovative new concept captivates the public by requiring their participation and presenting an evolving visual everytime they step foot on the subway.
