potentials and problems analysis
By responding to and preserving the natural balance in the Geirangefjord and adapting the shape of dramatic dialogue between the mountains and the fjord, Geiranger Sondmorfjord “The floating Port is formed. Using solar panels and water current plant to generate electricity to supply the Geiranger Sondmorfjord Port electricity. The tunnel that connects the port and the land is giving new experience to the passanger to feel walking under the water from the pier to the city of Geiranger.
The Geirangerfjord is under constant threat fron the Mountain Aknes which is about to erupe into the fjord and produce tsunami, hit the nearby towns including Geiranger and Hellesylt in around 10 minutes so this project has also responded to the tsunami wave shape and using structure that can hold the strong wave that will come.
Geiranger Sonmorfjord “The Floating Port can help to increase the Geirangerfjord tourism and meet the needs of the port for the cruise ships leaning and disembarking the tourist who will visit the city of Geiranger and can also help the passanger to have a new experience in enjoying the city in a ship terminal.
