WHAT A YEAR!
2014
MUSIC, COMMUNITY, UNITY @ STARBUCKS All Made Possible by John Miles Chevy, Conyers Ga
What a year, indeed… Country Star: David Leon
Who would’ve imagined it? Jazz & Country Music @Starbucks? Then I got all the immediate questions: “Well, where at? Outside?” “Live? As in, live recordings?” “They allow that?” “Is there room for that in there?” But most of all, the response to “live shows @Starbucks” has been “At the Starbucks???” And naturally, I’m something of a sponge, taking it all in, absorbing it all, knowing I’m Senator Ron Ramsey, Tanesha making history, drawing on as much help as I & Mike Phillips can from the community we’re in… knowing I’m making a change, if only to create unity. If only to bring the community together. If only to inspire growth and energy and good feelings. And all of this, yes… lol “At the Starbucks”

AND SO HERE WE ARE WITH ANOTHER ANNUAL (digital) DOCUMENT… … an opportunity to take account for our accomplishments, our blessings and our extreme energy here at (what I call) the most important coffee shop on the Planet Earth. I’ve said this before, that it seems so hectic everywhere else except for here. This is the most peaceful, productive, resourceful environment I’ve ever known. I meet the most phenomenal people, from every imaginable walk of life, from the 4 corners of the Earth. They all make it to this Starbucks, in Conyers, Georgia. We are grateful to our community partners such as John Miles Chevy, Willis Tax Services, Wells Thomas Law, Wilder Chiropractic Center, Alluring Life Properties, Djea Hair Salon, our friendly neighbors such as John Kavelage, our very own #TEAMCONYERS organization, and of course, Starbucks! Enjoy the photos, the inspiration and the great energy herein.
My Mornings tend to begin with a smile & a coffee or tea. My smile is not manufactured or contrived. Its sincere and (one other thing): It feels good to wear!
I’ve come to realize the folks don’t come to Starbucks for coffee alone. This is a sort of ritual that grows on you, that required visit that reminds you that your day is normal. And if your day is normal, then your life is normal. And if your life is normal, what else is there?
SMILE!
GOOD MORNING!
About Our Ebook… For years now, we’ve been producing Ebooks with more and more “clickable links.” Clickable links give these documents greater depth, where you can learn more about the independent parts that lend content to our publications. Clickable links may take you to related web pages, video or audio podcasts. Whenever you see this star you may “click-thru” to see more. You can do so on computers, tablets or cellphones that have Internet access. Enjoy. Look into our community partners
It took some hard work, online & off, to build our “Wine Down Wednesday” crowd. But it eventually took off.
Sax players, trumpet players, keyboardists, vocalists… “Wine Down Wednesday” is jazz, jazz and more jazz.
Managing 2 shows, with minimal budgeting takes balancing. Every 1st Sat @7:30p. Comedy, Music & Coee 4a Cause continues; Always Free & Family-Friendly
Comedy, Music & Coffee 4a Cause” is attractive because it’s consistent, its familyfriendly, and always free. People come knowing they will have a good time.
We’re so much more than just music at Starbucks. This is a “community.”
Lots of adults come thru Starbucks everyday. Many of us are business owners, civil service workers, just pursuing our respective passions. But we still make space for the kids. At the end of 2013 we produced a show that was totally peopled by children. Take a look at the video‌
This was the year of “Breaking Bad” Coincidentally, one of our Starbucks customers has the look. He also has a purpose…
Starbucks Conyers completed a major renovation in 2014. Immediately thereafter we began to produce jazz shows here.
We are extremely grateful to Samuel & Lucy Walden & Derwin Daniels who performed exclusively at a couple of our first jazz shows. #IceBreakerAward
One of 2 celebrity events we had in 2015 included the legendary BernNadette Stanis. Bern was “Thelma” in the hit TV sitcom “Good Times”
This was arguably one of our biggest shows in 2014. BernNadette Stanis came to Starbucks not merely because of a relationship, but because we were ready to help.
Relationships @Starbucks also result in off-site projects. Above: filming actors in Lithonia. Below (L) Actor Tyga Graham & (R) Chico, SJ Tindle & radio hosts: Dr Grey & Felecia Love
Mike Phillips performing @Starbucks was a dream come true. The most amazing people were in attendance, from politicians & local entrepreneurs to Starbucks corporate
Some notable guests at our shows include our county commissioners, judges, armed forces veterans, and other artists such as Ragan Whiteside (flutist)
Relationships took us all the way to Laconia Lake Resorts for film work…
Chico’s son: Sexton Chapman is an entrepreneur/a chip off the old block. Check out his story (video)…
Steph (the Author) drove from the Carolinas to Conyers/ Starbucks for a consultation
To our knowledge: Brian & his Wife are the 1st to meet in Conyers Starbucks, they married and this year gave birth to the 1st Starbucks baby
Starbucks connects me with the entire community and often takes me away from the “coffee” into the “community.”
Friends To The Room: (Upper L) Comedian C. Davis & Actor Doug Nangle. (Upper R State Sen Ron Ramsey & friend. (Lower L) Triathlon Athlete Kristi Lovelace
Emcee Brandon Hardison hosts our monthly shows
Kristi is featured in our forthcoming “Rockdale Connector Magazine
