RELIV MESSAGE Bernie Birch Reliv Asia Pacific, Sales Manager Along with the excellent Reliv business opportunity, the main focus in this edition of the Reliv Philippines Lifestyle magazine is the incredible results children from all over the country are experiencing from NOW® for Kids (NFK). With this in mind, I decided I would research children overcoming obstacles and the stand-out person for me from this research is Helen Keller. She was born in 1880 and at the age of 18 months, lost both her sight and hearing through a mysterious illness which also resulted in her being mute. Despite this, throughout her life, Helen accomplished more than most individuals. She learned to speak at nine years old (through using her hands) was the first blind/deaf person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also learned German, French and Latin as well as establishing numerous foundations. Helen could have succumbed to her disabilities but she chose to work with what she had and to be the best she could – “Be happy with what you have, while working for what you want.” Her way was blocked on many occasions, though, by people with unintentional ignorance making her burdens more difficult. Helen Keller reminds us that the only person we are in control of is ourselves, and it is up to us to accomplish our goals. In the Philippines there can be many obstacles for children to realise their full potential and for parents to achieve financial independence and provide for their children. What did we do differently to qualify for President’s Team? What we did differently this year was to work as a team and better leverage promoting Reliv products to more people. We used the traditional way of meeting with people throughout each month, yet by using social media we were able to reach more than 100,000 people in just one weekend. We set a goal to not only double our 2016 income but to increase it to 2.5 times of what we made last year. We surpassed our 2017 goal in just the first quarter. We started hiring new people as assistants to help us with Reliv and train them and now they are out becoming Master Affiliates themselves. By doing this, our business has exploded.
