“That is now an investment property, and we moved in to Albert Park just over a year ago and we are obsessed with the area we live in,” she adds. Her own favourite space is her tranquil and private courtyard.

“My courtyard gets all-day sun. I love gardening out there or just sitting in the sun reading a book.”

For early risers with a taste for both sweet and savoury, there’s the Breakfast Board including house Bircher muesli, poached egg, and a smashed avocado plate, served with freshly squeezed orange juice.

Beautifully decorated with a distinctive rustic theme, the buzzing Black Squirrel café has the advantage of being both on the main shopping strip in Sandringham, and a stone’s throw from the beach.

The café also has a strong brunch menu, with dishes such as Saganaki Bruschetta topped with roasted Roma tomatoes, avocado, pomegranate, parsley and cucumber salad, tzatziki, poached egg, and lemon. Perfect to be enjoyed with family or friends on a lazy Sunday.
