DOMNORK LIBRARY
Khan Russey Keo, Sangkat Russey Keo | 2022The goal is to provide users with various experiences, and moods, easy circulation, as well as connecting users’ senses to each and every spaces within the building. Additionally, we intend on enhancing the engagement of the users and greenery by having a tropical design with many tropical plants and well-known plants that are being used in the surrounding site.
CONCEPT
Water droplets creating the ripple effect, which expands a pattern from its initial position and is viewed as waves that continue to develop and enlarge, served as the primary inspiration for this library. We want to develop our library into a space where everyone who enters and leaves may be influenced, helped, and enlightened by new knowledge, insights, and experiences.
Ground Floor
HEROIC SPACE
A splendid space with a high ceiling, large glazing, skylights, and seating places creates a wonderful sensation and connection with the surroundings. With the natural light, cool ventilation, and enormous wndow, will permits users to see and feel as well as engage with people and nature both inside and out of the structure.
HUMBLE SPACE
Chamber of reflection created for people a peaceful, private, and pleasant reading environment. It is the polar opposite of the Hall of Knowledge, with a standard ceiling and a smaller size, making it inferior to the ground level, which provides more comfort and privacy. This humble space is ideal for those who require less interaction with people and noise. However, the glazing design will not make teh users feel like they are locked in a box, they are also able to view everything from this space.
