AIESEC AIESEC is a global youth-led organization striving to achieve peace and fulfillment of humankind’s potential by activating leadership qualities in youth through learning from practical experiences in challenging environments. Together with partner organizations, AIESEC facilitates a network of cross-cultural exchanges in the form of volunteering experiences and professional internships.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS In September 2015, 193 world leaders agreed on 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. If these Goals are completed, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030.
GLOBAL VOLUNTEER If we don’t change the world, then who will? Global Volunteer is a cross-cultural volunteer experience for young people who seek to develop themselves and the world. Our Exchange Participants work with NGOs on projects directly contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Also, Recife has beautiful beaches, like Porto de Galinhas, considered the most beautiful beach on the entire country. Recife stands out as a major tourist attraction of the Northeast, both for its beaches and for its historic sites, dating back to both the Portuguese and the Dutch colonization of the region. Despite that, Recife still has one of the worse social rates of the entire country, being home of people that doesn't have access to education, water and sometimes food. Inequality is the main word on the Capital, with elegant skyscrapers sharing the same neighbourhood with poor houses, and even people with no place to live.
So, the Global Volunteer program has a clear goal: It helps to bring positive impact to our city, bringing volunteers all over the world to help people on social vulnerability and create a multicultural and educational environment, improving the future of those children and the city.

Planet Heroes Inspired by the "Heroes' Journey", this project invites the kids to accomplish the mission to turn the 3 elements of their own world: house, educational environment and neighborhood. Our goal is that each kid, hero of our planet, multiply and perpetuate new sustainable practices.
This project contributes to the SDG 13
Job Description 1. Prepare sessions and workshops about environment topics and global issues. Develop different activities about the 4 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink. 2. Prepare conversational spaces at least once each week of the project, putting into practice the knowledge that students have learned throughout each week. 3. Make a weekly planning of all the activities that will be taking place the following week, explained day by day under the supervision of the assigned project manager. Plan with excellent and follow the methodolo-
logy of the project manager.
4. Deliver a weekly report that shows what main points and conclusion of the activities of the former week under the supervision of the assigned project manager. 5. Attend the Incoming Preparation Seminar (IPS) on the date assigned by the Local Committee. 6. To make a final report for the NGO and AIESEC with a final presentation for the NGO and to the Vice President of Incoming Global Volunteer of Recife.
Driblando The project Driblando performs the work with cooperative sports, the rich cultural appreciation and the formation of three basic elements: leadership, teamwork and self-knowledge.
This project contributes to the SDG 4
Job Description 1. Prepare sessions and workshops about the importance of physical activities for the health, to promote teamwork and leadership with the kids, concerning about the body. 2. Prepare conversational spaces at least once each week of the project, putting into practice the knowledge that students have learned throughout each week. 3. Make a weekly planning of all the activities that will be taking place the following week, explained day by day under the supervision of the assigned project manager. Plan with excellent and follow the methodo-
logy of the project manager.
4. Deliver a weekly report that shows what main points and conclusion of the activities of the former week under the supervision of the assigned project manager. 5. X4Change X4Change is a project that gives to the children a chance to learn a new language (English or Spanish) and have contact with people from different cultures and perspectives.
This project contributes to the SDG 4

Giramundo The Giramundo Project has as goal develop the Sustainable development Goals (SDGs) from UN. The Exchange Participant will develop a project that will bring Awareness and Action based on the SDGs to the NGO is environment.
This project contributes to the SDG 4

Smart The Smart project works directly with the major needs of a NGO: marketing and management. Its goal is to cooperate to the development of the third sector, ensuring the permanence and improvement of the activities already executed by the NGO.

Job Description 1. Develop materials and strategies to promote the NGO concerning to Marketing and Management. Have clear actions during the weeks to help the NGO with its daily activities. 2. Prepare moments to share the development of the project with the managers of the NGO every week and to align the strategies with what the NGO needs. 3. After the acceptance, you’ll need to do two more things:

In progress means that we are just a few steps from your approval! To be approved you have to:
1. Pay a fee for the AIESEC office in your city 2. Sign a contract
1. A photo of your passport or your ID (for countries that are part of Mercosul); 2. A photo or screenshot of your flight tickets (arrival and departure from Brazil); 3. Your health insurance. Talk to an AIESEC member to learn more details about the application process.
BENEFITS Here you will have a lot of things to improve your experience, such as:
1. Expectations Setting We will have a preparation seminar online, before your arrival, to present ourselves, to guide you, and to give you information about Recife. This seminar is made to set your expectations and clear all your doubts. 2. Incoming Preparation Seminar When you get here, we’ll have another seminar, this one is made to give you even more information and help you on your first steps.
3. Cultural Day A special day for you to visit tourist places of Recife with our team. 4. First day On your first day at the NGO, an AIESEC member will join you. The first day is really important for you to set all the work rules, like your work schedule and activities. 5. Development Spaces Development Spaces are weekly meetings with other exchange participants, so you will be able to share things about your country and the project you are doing. 6. Portuguese class We offer a portuguese class for all
the Exchange Participants.
7. Alimentation You’ll have 1 meal covered per work day. 8. Arrival pick up We’ll pick you up at the airport, if you arrive in Recife between 8am and 9pm, from Monday to Saturday. 9. Departure Support We’ll offer you support, and we’ll guide you on your departure. 10. Accommodation You’ll have free accommodation at a host family house, a hostel, or in the NGO.
ACCOMMODATION Terms and Conditions AIESEC Recife provides free accommodation for all EPs for the duration of the projects. You might stay in a host family, a hostel, or in the NGO, if they have guest rooms. If you arrive before the start date and/or leave after the end of your project, you will be responsible for paying your accommodation. Usually, though, host families agree to host the EPs for a little longer (both before and after the project), but we can’t guarantee that. If needed, you may turn to cheap or even free options, such as hostels or Couchsurfing. AIESEC is not responsible for money or personal objects of the exchange student. It is the exchange student responsibility to keep and care of their own belongings.
Everything you need to know about your future host 1. They are not being paid to host you. They are volunteer as you. What they want in the experience is to practice the language and have a cultural exchange in theirs homes. 2. Most families own a car, but not all lend or leave available for exchange student use. So ask us about public transportation, anytime you need. 3. Hosts are not Responsible for your feeding. The two of you may come to terms about cooking and sharing spending on food.
4. AIESEC Recife cannot ensure that you will have benefits such as a private room, Wi-Fi, air conditioning or any other fancy treat in your host. Related to web connection, our office has internet site and you are welcome to use it if you need. 5. The Exchange Participants must follow the rules of their host place, such as maintaining the order, asking permission before bringing someone in, participating in household chores with others living with you, using suitable garment at home, respecting the manners of acting and speaking, and any other explicit host rules. 6. AIESEC Recife will have the obligation of providing another host or
accommodation, if the Exchange Participants are exposed to any kind of discrimination. However the EPs may lose their right for accommodation if they violate any policies stated by the host, such as breaking internal code of conduct or any other ethical, religious or cultural norm.
7. Living in a Host is part of your experience and, therefore, you are responsible for making the best out of it. If you are in the host family, we recommend that you spend some time and engage with them to their daily lives. Give yourself the chance to get to know them and you might get yourself a loving and welcoming family far from home.
