We proudly support

and congratulate the 2019 honorees, including our Chief Executive

Robert Thomson

Welcome Dear Friends: Welcome to RENEW International’s 20th Annual Gala. For more than forty years, we have been advancing our mission to renew personal faith and parish life—unlocking the power of small groups by equipping laity and clergy to share their Catholic faith and live it every day. Today, RENEW’s work is needed more than ever. In response to the twin crises of sexual abuse and coverup rocking the Catholic Church, we have developed Healing Our Church, a parish small-group process to help “people in the pews” face the facts, rebuild the Church, and f ind a way forward together as a family of faith. Our long-standing parish programs—Be My Witness, Why Catholic? and ARISE— continue. New programs (Balancing Faith & Work) blossom, and an even newer one, Baptism Matters: A Parent Preparation Program, is being prepared for launch. On this very special evening, we honor three individuals who connect their faith with their lives in their homes, communities, and workplaces: Robert Thomson (President’s Award), Dr. Alice Beal (Spirit of RENEW Award), and Msgr. Richard Liddy (James L. Nolan Award). Your presence here is meaningful both to our honorees and to RENEW. By joining us in this celebration of their faith-f illed lives, you support our mission and allow us to continue our work in new and innovative ways. Thank you for your generosity. With warmest regards,

Sr. Theresa Rickard, O.P. President
