2008 Race Schedule June 2008 Lake George, NY
THE 2ND ANNUAL NORTH COUNTRY TRIATHLON SATURDAY JUNE, 28TH HAGUE BEACH, LAKE GEORGE NY
Dear Racers, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about how and why the North Country Triathlon came about. I was out cycling in the hills of California one afternoon after I had left my job at eBay, when it hit me like a bolt of lightening. I should put together a triathlon. No, I’d never done anything like this before (though I had raced in several tri’s on the west coast), but it all seemed to make perfect sense to me. My friends thought I was nuts, and so inspired, I started the process of figuring out how to do it.

to me in my life – my love for Lake George, passion for cycling, an outlet for my entrepreneurial energies and a commitment to promote environmental responsibility. Additionally, it is a way to help the regional and international non-profits that I deeply believe in such as The Hope Lodge and Room to Read. I want to thank everyone who has helped make this event possible. From friends who thought I was nuts (I am), but who encouraged me anyway, to the Town of Hague for believing in the potential and supporting the race completely from the beginning. Most importantly many thanks go to the volunteers for which there would be no race without their efforts. Good luck to the 2008 racers and have a great time!
