The 89th Academy Awards ceremony took place at Los Angeles earlier this morning. La La Land got 14 nominations, including thumbs up for Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling and Damien Chazelle. It bagged the Oscars 2017in 6 of these categories, narrowly missing out on the award for the the best film. It won the awards for best director, best actress, best original score and best original song for City of Stars.
