Appointment Details If you haven’t been to a bridal shop before you may be wondering what to expect. This is how we do things at Kudos Edinburgh. On arrival you will be introduced to your personal bridal consultant who will be giving you her undivided attention for the next 90 minutes. You will be shown our beautiful collection of gowns and given the time to look through them and select six gowns to try on. Once the gowns are chosen you will then be shown into the fitting room, where it’s “down to your underwear”! Your bridal consultant will help you into each gown, and provide some shoes to complete the look. As each dress is just a sample (sizes ranging from 10-26) this may involve some pinning into the gown in order to help vision the dress in the correct size for you. Once you start to try on the gowns it will soon become clear what styles you are drawn to and which dress is the star of the show. From her knowledge of our collections, your bridal consultant may also suggest other dresses for you to try, so that you have seen a wide range of styles. Our bridal consultants are experienced and knowledgeable, so do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have. We truly hope that you enjoy every moment you have with us, from your first appointment, through to your alterations and wearing your beautiful Kudos gown on the big day! Kudos tips for the Wedding Day! 1 Don’t wear a bra the night before to reduce strap marks. 2 Make sure the bride puts her dress on last and goes to the toilet before putting dress on. 3 Always step into the bridal gown to avoid make up and hair being compromised. Then put shoes on last with the help of the bridesmaids. 4 When you are doing the brides buttons you can use a crochet hook to help the loops go over the buttons without ruining your manicure. 5 Hang the dress somewhere high the night before the wedding, letting down the train . If there are any small creases, hang the dress in the bathroom with a hot shower running and the steam will soften any of the lines 6 Make sure your photographer captures the moment the bridesmaids see the bride for the first time. 7 When bustling a dress ensure you tie the ribbons as tight as possible and always carry a safety pin in case the bustle fails to last the whole day. 8 When going to the toilet , straddle the seat so that your train is behind you. It will feel very strange but works a charm. 9 If there is grass or cobbles invest in “heel stoppers� we sell them and they are fantastic for keeping your heels from getting ruined in the grass or falling on the cobbles. 0 After the wedding invest in dry cleaning , a sign of a good wedding is a filthy 1 dress!
