Q & A with Rehoboth Selectmen Candidates
Voters will be going to the polls next month on April 2. After all the votes are counted, Rehoboth will have a new, five-member board of selectmen and new leadership for the town. Two of the three selectmen positions on the ballot are unopposed. Incumbent Joseph Tito, who was elected last year to fill the remainder of Kevin McBride’s term, is unopposed and will keep his seat on the board. Finance Committee Chairperson Susan Pimental, is also running unopposed for one of the new seats, a three year term. Pimental received the Republican nomination at the town committee caucus last month. The other new selectman position, for a two-year term, is the only contested seat on the ballot. Council on Aging Chairperson Lorraine Botts and longtime Conservation Commission member Scott Pennoyer are vying for the position. Botts is a Republican committee nominee and Pennoyer is running as an Independent. The Rehoboth Reporter sent all the candidates a few questions so that our readers could get to know them all better.
