Overindulge?

Cannabis is used by a variety of people for a variety of reasons. Whether that reason is medical or recreational, sometimes it can simply help to accomplish day-to-day activities.

As a mother and CEO of a company, Meg Sanders of Canna Provisions uses cannabis to assist with her daily tasks. She shared that an ongoing trend she has witnessed is that women are leaning towards cannabis to cope with everyday stressors. For instance, women are typically the ones controlling most of the household tasks, which can be daunting.

“As more and more people become more aware [of cannabis use] this [trend] seems to be growing,” said Sanders. “Women use cannabis for a variety of things.”

She explained that she uses cannabis to help fall asleep and stay asleep through the night. By receiving a good night’s rest, Sanders said this helps with stress and allows her to “start the day as [her] best self.” If you start the day feeling restless, running on little sleep, it can cause unnecessary stress.

Of course, cannabis use looks different for everyone. Regardless, Sanders said there are a lot of benefits to using it. For instance, some people use cannabis at the end of the day to relax or unwind. There are also a variety of ways to consume cannabis including combustion and using an edible, to name a few. Sanders noted that it’s all about personal preference.

With the holidays right around the corner, stress levels will soon rise even more. To help women not succumb to stressful times, Sanders believes that cannabis is the answer.

“High stress can be Thanksgiving dinner, getting families together, etc.,” said Sanders. “[Cannabis] can help calm that.” To avoid political talk or get away from your crazy uncle at the dinner table, Sanders suggests consuming a little bit of cannabis. “I think it could make holidays much less stressful,” she added.

Currently, Sanders said minor cannabinoids such as THCV seem to be becoming more a part of daily consumption. She shared that a personal favorite is Baystate Hemp, a local Massachusetts hemp company, which has THCV products that they sell to dispensaries, along with tinctures and vape carts.

Another product that Sanders suggests are COAST Cannabis’ THCV gummies. She noted that Canna Provisions is hoping to have THCV pre-rolls coming soon.

She went on to say that cannabis does not always mean high. “At Canna Provisions, we try to redefine high. There’s nothing wrong with feeling high but it doesn’t always mean that it’s mind altering,” said Sanders.
