find yourself

WELCOME TO FEELING WELCOME.

Welcome to an incredible opportunity for you to be the you-est you’ve ever been. The student. The artist. The athlete. The friend. The human full of potential. This is the year and the place to find yourself and find your way.

find your

people

Vir∙i∙des∙cent

adjective

The quality or act of becoming green

Emboldened by our motto of “lux et veritas,” meaning “light and truth,” WRA embodies a vivid and brilliant viridescence, and so do its students. Therefore, is it any surprise that we think Reserve Green becomes you?

RESERVE GREEN BECOMES YOU.

Once you put on the Reserve Green blazer, your outward appearance isn’t the only evident change. Immediately polished and comfortable, Reserve Green becomes part of your identity. The collar frames your confidence, your energy. While the buttons hold tight a promise that what you learn here and achieve here will stay with you.

FOREVER A PIONEER.

YOUR VERY OWN

limitless sky

FIND YOURSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMEWHERE.

With welcoming, wide-open spaces for learning and living, our 190-acre, brick-and-ivy, Hudson, Ohio campus lies within our country’s Heartland.

How many of your dreams, ambitions and aspirations do we have room for? All of them.

OOOOhhio!

Did you know that New England settlers moved west to establish the communities of their dreams?

While we may look like New England, we are proudly Ohio. Independent, open and one of a kind. We put our own spin on brick and ivy. A Great Lake-side location, wide-open spaces, National Parks and big-city attractions make it obvious why Ohio is known as the Heartland.

OHIO IS KIND, and so are we

We have developed standards for how we engage with one another in community and in conversation.

This is the power of kindness.

VALUE

unique thoughts, perspectives, experiences and backgrounds

LIFT others rather than bring them down

LISTEN thoughtfully and practice patience

INTERROGATE ideas not people

INVITE participation and belonging

SPEAK to others, not about them

LIVE respectfully, peacefully and productively

Our town is in the running for the best place on earth. Quaint, walkable village. Stores, restaurants —

Chipotle or Ming’s Bubble Tea anyone? Boutiques . Amenities and a farmers market. Our region features 3 pro sports teams, Playhouse Square, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, concert venues, an international airport 29 miles from school, a national park, ski slopes & warm smiles.

SHINE ON, bright one

From here to everywhere

At Reserve, engaged learning stems from brilliant courses. Open your mind to explorations of synthetic biology, engineering, Mandarin Chinese language and culture, digital music production and storytelling in sports. From classic to unconventional, WRA has the inspiration your brain has been craving in an environment where we teach you how to think, not what to think.

More than 100 courses are brought to you by teachers who are PhDs, authors, entrepreneurs and most importantly, likable humans who care. Our learning spaces are as diverse as the thinkers who inhabit them — from a 6,000-square foot maker space in our Wang Innovation Center, to classically beautiful Seymour Hall, to world-class Wilson Hall, where labs are on the level of top universities.

The world is your classroom, with experiences beyond campus that are exclusive to Pioneers. Spend a summer at a DocPrep program at the Baylor College of Medicine. Work in the polymer sustainability research lab at the University of Akron’s Goodyear Polymer Center. Get immersed in molecular biology, nuclear physics and astronomy at the Heidelberg International Institute of Science. Ready to launch? We intern on another level.

School is solved

The Academic Center (TAC) is our researchrooted, in-house, all-hands-on-deck support system for Pioneers. Team TAC, in conjunction with you, our faculty, college counselors and support professionals will empower you with strategies for time management, writing support, self-advocacy and whatever it takes for you to be the very happiest version of you.

In Synthetic Biology, you’ll engineer solutions to real-world problems using software and lab equipment that rival that of major institutions.

The Wang Innovation Center

Imaginations running wild is commonplace at WRA’s Wang Innovation Center, our futuristic makerspace. With 6,000 square feet of additive printers, CNC machines, circuitry connectors, robot assemblers and hoodie embroiderers you’ll find technology and brains buzzing with non-stop possibility.
