Norilsk is the world’s northernmost city with more than 100,000 inhabitants and the second largest city (after Murmansk) inside the Arctic Circle. Norilsk, Yakutsk, and Vorkuta are the only large cities in the continuous permafrost zone. It lies between Taymyrsky DolganoNenetsky District to the north, and Turukhansky District to the south. Norilsk has an extremely harsh subarctic climate (Köppen Dfc), and is covered with snow for about 250–270 days a year, with snow storms for about 110–130 days.

The polar night lasts from December through mid-January, so there is no sun for about six weeks. In summer the sun does not set for more than six weeks. Temperatures are known to rise above +25 °C (77 °F) in July.

Mabetex Group has realized this project with dif cult weather conditions.

Of ce centre Reforma , the rst one of the Moscow-city business complex, was rooffed. The 25-storeyed building to be put into service on the eve of 2000 is connected with shopping pedestrian bridge Bagration. Of cers of the largest international rms, restaurants and bars are situated in the building.

The building is to house mostly of ces and other commercial business. Several shops and restaurants were open on the lower oors. The construction was completed in 2000.

The White House is the of cial home of the Russian government. Several oors of the White House building were severely damaged in October 1993. Mabetex was asked to carry out an extremely urgent intervention to completely restore both the outside and the inside of the building. This also included the interior decoration and full furnishing of the over 2,500 of ces.

Mabetex refurbished also all of the many Conference Halls of the building in particular the one designed to seat 300 members of the Russian government, this was another record achievement: it was delivered in just three months from the moment when initial concepts were submitted. Mabetex furniture was manufactured by the most skilled Italian craftsmen. An extreme care was put in every detail.
