“ I never thought I’d feel safe again. I was so scared every day I went to work. Now I can think about my future - finding a job that will let me take care of my little girl and learning to live in this country.” — RESTORE SAFEHOME RESIDENT

We identify and serve foreign national women who have survived sex trafficking. We believe trafficking is a problem that has a solution, and we are fighting this injustice in New York City and across the country.

REALITY Thousands of vulnerable women are sex trafficked in illicit massage businesses (IMBs) each year. Restore serves more survivors exploited through IMBs than any other organization in the U.S. We see the reality of this crime every day, and we are committed to fighting it in NYC and across the country.

IMPACT

Because of your partnership, we have the possibility to make the end of sex trafficking a reality. As we look forward to the next 3 years, we believe that these three key areas will leverage this opportunity & will have the greatest impact for survivors:

We take your investment seriously, which is why we devote so much time to measuring our impact. Not only does it lead to better outcomes for the women we serve, it keeps us accountable to supporters like you. Because of your generosity, women have experienced freedom and restoration this year:

Economic Empowerment Invest in Economic Empowerment

Grow crisis & transitional housing

Survivors want safe, honest jobs. Not handouts. Providing support, and especially real jobs, is the key to an independent life for these motivated and brave women.

Right now there are severe shortages in both short-term and transitional housing. Our plan is to begin to offer crisis housing while expanding our transitional housing.

Train and equip law enforcement By building the capacity of local law enforcement to identify and effectively help victims, more survivors will get the help they need -- in NYC and in other cities across the country.

82% 115%

82% of women were employed after 6 months of participating in our first Economic Empowerment pilot.

There was a 115% increase in income for members (average income is $1250/month).

Safehome

7 out of 8 women in our Safehome had jobs when they graduated.

+

100%

of women are working with law enforcement to prosecute their traffickers.
