A CASE FOR YOUR SUPPORT
We believe sex trafficking is a problem Today, there are an estimated 57,000 people living in slavery
in the United States. New York City serves as a gateway and is one of the largest destinations for trafficked women entering the country. The reality is that in every borough of New York City, women are being exploited for sex: From the brothel to the parlor. From the club to the cantina. From the street to the suite. At Restore, we believe sex trafficking is a problem we can solve. But it will take all of us.
OUR STRATEGY
“
I never thought I’d feel safe again. I was so scared every day I went to work. Now I can think about my future - finding a job that will let me take care of my little girl and learning to live free in this country. If I hadn’t come to Restore, I don’t know what I’d be doing now.” — RESTORE CLIENT AND SAFEHOME RESIDENT
Four pillars of our work to end sex trafficking and free survivors of this crime:

RESTORE’S 2017-2018 BUDGET: How much does this work cost each year? Since Restore’s beginning in 2009, we have rapidly grown to match the demand of victims who need our help. In 2009, we served 19 women and by 2016, we served nearly 400. This 2017-2018 budget allows us to help approximately 450 women given current staff capacity. To reach 1,000 survivors by 2020, we need to grow to a $5MM budget to serve every woman in crisis.
