Pesach 2020 Order of Service—The Meal that Heals Fellowship Call to Attention Welcome: Shalom Alcelechem Scripture: 1 John 4:17-19 Shema “Hear” (Deuteronomy 6:4) Lighting Menorah Opening Prayer Scripture: John 13:1-20 Foot Washing Ceremony Worship Service-25 minutes Reconciliation Begins at Passover Congregation: “And all things are of Elohim, who hath reconciled us to himself by Yahshuah HaMashiach, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that Elohim was in Mashiach, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
Scripture: Psalms 113 & 114 The Four “I Will’s” of Yah Leader: Baruch attah Adonai, Eloheinu melekh ha’olam, asher kideshanu be’mitzvotav ve’tzivanu le’hiyot ohr le’goyim, ve’natan-lanu et Yahshua meshicheinu Seh ha-Pesach. Congregation: Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe Who sanctified us with the commandments, and commanded us to be a light to the nations and who gave to us Yahshua our Messiah the Passover Lamb. Reader 1: Exodus 6:6-7 I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment. I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. Leader: Tonight we will part-take of four cups that symbolize the four promises in Exodus 6:6-7. The Cup of Sanctification-I will bring you out from Egypt. The Cup of Deliverance-I will deliver you from slavery. The Cup of Redemption-I will redeem you with My power. The Cup of Restoration-I will acquire you as My people. THE FIRST CUP Kiddush: THE Cup of Sanctification Leader: Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu, melekh ha’olam, she-hechayanu ve’ki-yemanu ve’higianu lazman hazeh. Congregation: Blessed are you YAH our Elohim, King of the universe, who has kept us alive and 10
sustained us and has brought us to this special time. KARPAS: DIPPING THE VEGETABLES Reader 2: The karpas symbolizes the growth of the children of Israel in Egypt, but it also remembers their great suffering. We eat karpas dipped in saltwater to remember the tears that were shed during the time of oppression and slavery in Egypt. Many tears have been shed by those who came before us and our own tears have not gone unnoticed. As we taste the saltwater, may we know that YAH has promised to wipe our tears away! Leader: Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu melekh Ha’Olam, borei peri ha’adamah Congregation: Blessed are you YAH our Elohim, Master of the universe, Creator of the fruit of the earth. YACHATZ: BREAKING THE MATZAH Leader: Ha Lachma anya di a-aghalu av-hatana be’ara de’mitzrayim. Congregation: This is the bread of brokenness which our fathers ate in the land of Egypt.
Leader: All who are hungry—let them come and eat. All who are needy—let them come and celebrate the Passover with us. POURING THE SECOND CUP: At this time, please fill your cups for the second cup of our Seder. Please DO NOT Drink. MAGGID: TELLING THE STORY Reader 3: Deuteronomy 6:20-23 And when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the statues, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you? Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt, and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand: And the LORD showed signs great and sore, upon Egypt upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before our eyes: And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.” THE FOUR QUESTIONS Children-#1. Why is this night different from other nights? Parents- Exodus 12:14 “And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever:” Children-#2. On all other nights we eat leavened or unleavened bread, why do we eat only unleavened bread tonight? Parents-Exodus 12:15: “Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first-day ye shall 11
put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.” Children-#3. On all other nights we eat all kinds of herbs, why do we eat only bitter herbs tonight? Parents-Exodus 12:8: “And they shall eat the flesh in the night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread: and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.” Children-#4. On all other nights we eat meat roasted, stewed, or boiled, why do we eat only roasted meat tonight? Parents-Exodus 12:9: “Do not eat any of it raw, or cooked in any way with water, but roasted— head, legs and entrails—over the fire”. Scripture: Psalms 115 & 116 THE SECOND CUP: THE CUP OF DELIVERANCE Leader: Hinnei Seh Ha’Elohim, ha-nosei et-chatee ha-olam!
Congregation: Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. Leader: Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech ha’olam Bo-rey peri hagafen Congregation: Blessed are you YAH our Elohim, King of the universe who creates the fruit of the vine. HAMOTZI: EATING THE MATZAH Leader: Baruch atah Adonai Eloheynu, Melek ha’olam ha’motzi lechem min ha’eretz. Baruch atah Adonai Eloheynu, Melek ha’olam asher kideshanu be’mitzvotav ve’tzivanu al achilat matzah. Congregation: Blessed are You, YAH our Elohim, Master of the universe, who brings forth bread from the earth. Blessed are You, YAH our Elohim, Master of the universe, who sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us to eat matzah. Reader 1: After this, Judas left into the night to betray our Master. He was therefore not at the Seder when Yahshua later sanctified the matzah and the third cup as the symbols of his body and blood offered for our redemption. MAROR: EATING THE BITTER HERBS Reader 2: In eating the bitter herb, we remember the bitter afflictions of our people. We also remember the sorrow, trouble, and suffering of our lives in bondage to sin. May we also remember the affliction of those who still suffer in Bondage. Never forget from where YAH has brought us...

Leader: Baruch atah Adonai Eloheynu Melek Ha-olam, asher kidshanu b-mitzvotav v-tzi-vanu al achi’lat ma-ror. Congregation: Blessed are you, YAH our Elohim, King of the universe, who sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to eat the bitter. Hand-Washing Ceremony Psalm 51--Personal prayer and private worship before you eat with the KING! Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Master, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Master. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause, many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another. (1 Corinthians 11:27-33) DINNER w/ Scriptural Readings KOREH: BITTER TO SWEET
