My Rowe Design

Welcome to Fall 2021! As the weather turns cooler, we’re turning up the heat on your imagination. Our signature design collaboration program, My Rowe Design, took on an interactive twist in Spring 2021 when we challenged designers across the country to submit their favorite Rowe projects for consideration. Ten finalists were showcased at June High Point Market, culminating in the selection of three winners via in-person and online voting. These three challenge winners each received a Rowe product credit in order to bring their design dreams to life. Each of them was inspired by the opportunities for customization, the versatility of the thousands of possible fabric combinations in the Rowe & Robin Bruce lines, and of course, the overall quality of our customer service experience. This fall, we’re proud to present our My Rowe Designers and their unique spaces as they debut at market. We can’t wait to see how this inspires your own creativity! WARM REGARDS, ROWE FURNITURE

My Rowe Design by Stephanie Stephanie’s signature style is often inspired by travel, so it’s no surprise that her imagination turned to the ultimate vacation destination when dreaming up her My Rowe Design space. A spacious Asher sectional sofa anchors the space, establishing a comfortable haven at the center of the room. “For large upholstery items,” the designer says, “we look for the correct frame first and the lines of the sofa because they set the mood of the room….[it] needs to say casual, comfortable or formal.” This generously proportioned sectional is upholstered in an earth tone performance fabric that suggests casual ease without sacrificing style.

“[I IMAGINED] A LARGE FAMILY AT THEIR VACATION HOME AT THE BEACH, OR A SEASONAL RENTAL WHERE GROUPS CAN STAY AND GATHER ON THE SECTIONALS.”

A global aesthetic featuring geometric, tribal‑inspired designs and artwork creates a sense of the excitement of travel in this space, without seeming overly formal or foreign. The overall feeling is soft, welcoming, and enhanced by a variety of soft textiles, perfect for a social space where Stephanie imagined that “everyone you know could sit down and chat!” A palette of warm neutrals and natural touches like woven rattan establish an organic feeling that invites guests to extend their stay in this vacation home indefinitely.

“[I LOVE ROWE BECAUSE] EVERYTHING IS CUSTOMIZABLE IN SIZE, AVAILABLE IN PERFORMANCE FABRICS, AND HAS A RELAXED LOOK AND FEEL.”

Shannon Peppeard PEPPEARD DESIGN @peppeard_design

Shannon Peppeard studied at the Harrington College of Design but began her career in the financial sector, while continuing to practice her considerable design talent on friends and family homes. She eventually pivoted to full‑time interior design in 2006, developing a signature style that makes sure every space is a reflection of the client’s needs and desires, while incorporating a timeless classic aesthetic.

My Rowe Design by Shannon Shannon’s creativity was sparked by the variety of Rowe seating options and case pieces in her My Rowe Design space, from a comfy swivel and spacious ottoman to stylish shelves and marble-topped tables. “I tend to be inspired first by frame styles,” says Shannon, “then select the fabric and color palette to pull it all together.” A palette of subtle, earthy tones was the perfect complement to this multifunctional family living space. “My favorite design element of My Rowe Design space,” the designer adds, “[it] should be no surprise, is the colors and the different textures I incorporated in the overall space.”

“I WANTED MY SPACE TO FEEL LIKE A HAPPY, INVITING AND LIVABLE SPACE FOR A FAMILY WANTING TO RETREAT TO AT THE END OF A DAY.”

“I imagine my space being enjoyed by a family who is on the go with life’s busy schedule,” says Shannon, whose goal was to create a dual purpose room with plenty of usable space for both relaxing and entertaining. Pairing our flared base Journey table with a set of curved Neoma benches creates a cozy nook perfect for kids to do homework, play a board game or even tackle a puzzle. The designer also imagined this room serving as a versatile space for entertaining groups of people. Creating multiple conversation areas with plenty of extra seating options allows this room to accommodate everything from small gatherings to large family get‑togethers.

“I WOULD DESCRIBE MY DESIGN STYLE AS ‘LIVABLE DESIGN.’ I LOVE MIXING GENRES OF STYLES TO CREATE A TIMELESS LOOK FOR MY CLIENTS.”

HARPER HOWEY INTERIORS @harperhoweyinteriors Co‑founders Kimberly Harper and Cynthia Howey Tune created their Arkansas‑based full service design studio Harper Howey in 2012. Kimberly draws on her formal education and a distinguished background in interior design beginning in 1994, showcasing a signature style inspired by her love of culture and travel. Cynthia harnesses her decades of business experience and love of design to provide exceptional levels of client service and project execution. Harper Howey projects have been included in numerous regional and national publications.

My Rowe Design by Harper Howey Interiors The inspiration behind Harper Howey’s My Rowe Design space began with the thousands of possible fabric combinations presented by Rowe, offering a multitude of colors, textures and patterns. After that, they say, “the design really started to come together when we added in the black and white wallpaper.” As a dramatic mountain mural print by Mitchell Black, the wallcovering boldly contrasts with the playful combination of patterns on the sofa, creating a look that is as artistic as it is welcoming.

“OUR STYLE IS MULTI‑DIMENSIONAL AND INSPIRED BY ART AND FASHION. IT FEELS CURATED, COLLECTED AND LAYERED. WE WANTED THE SPACE TO EVOKE CREATIVITY WHILE GIVING THE FEELING OF A PLACE SOMEONE WOULD REALLY WANT TO HANG OUT.”

After selecting fabrics, the design team moved on to frames, identifying one of their must‑haves instantly. “When it came to selecting the frame style,”Kimberly says, “I knew I wanted to use the Reena sectional sofa.” A comfortable, modular sectional was a necessity for this fun‑loving space, which the Harper Howey duo imagined being used by friends for lively game nights or cocktail hour. When the versatile ottomans are moved to the front of the sofa, the space transforms into the perfect place to relax, watch movies, and spend time with family. “I am obsessed with the curved back on the corner ends and the channeling on the interior of the seat back,” Kimberly says, adding, “the Reena is our favorite design element in the My Rowe Design space!”
