NOVEMBER 13TH IS ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN YOUTH SUNDAY IN OUR PARISH. On this day we focus on and honor our young people and remember their patron saints, the three youth: Hananiah, Azariah, and Mishael. All are invited to remain for the presentation in church after Liturgy given by the 7th and 8th grade Sunday School students. Our teens from the 9th through 12th grades will assume Parish Council and Philoptochos duties; they will be the Readers during Liturgy; they will also be teaching Sunday School classes from nursery through 6th grade. Epistle Reading--James Bazakos, The Nicene Creed--Christopher Gabriel, The Lord's Prayer--all Altar boys. NOVEMBER IS STEWARDSHIP MONTH During coffee hour this Sunday we shall hold a Town Hall to preview our 2012 Stewardship campaign and distribute our mailing in person. We hope you will join us. HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER: HELP SUPPORT OUR GOYA! Place your orders now for poinsettias, wreaths and Greek pastries for the holidays. THE RESURRECTION SENIORS will be going to the Nassau County Museum of Art on Tuesday, November 15th. We will be enjoying Francisco Goya, Los Caprichos, an exhibition featuring a set of 80 etchings that was published in 1799. We will be meeting at our church at 1:00 pm, to carpool directly to the museum. Admission: $8.
