Select Committee / Ministry Highlights Choir

• Review of all vendor service contracts. • Establishing a guideline of responsibiliXes for the Sexton, • roofing system repairs • improvements to the lawn sprinkler system, • Electrical repairs / improvements • Reviewing the uXlity annual costs • Focus on Haol, Facility rentals

• Rehearsing every Tuesday evening • New members have joined: During Holy Week the choir chamber was full to capacity. • Choir’s focus for 2011-­‐2012 is to incorporate new music during Sunday Liturgy and to conXnue to expand its membership • There is a parXcular need for male voices – especially tenors.

Church Health Team • Second survey will be taken on June 5th • Last survey idenXfied “Fervent Spirituality” as our characterisXcs requiring the most focus • Survey findings will dictate next steps, which will included • Focus Groups • Addressing quesXons: • Why? • What do we do about it?

Around the Patriarchate: This week •  Chaired by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios •  The Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of North and Central America is one of twelve bishops’ assemblies which have been established in different geographical regions throughout the world. It is made up of all the acXve, canonical Orthodox bishops of North and Central America, of every jurisdicXon. •  The purpose of the Assembly of Bishops of North and Central America is to preserve and contribute to the unity of the Orthodox Church by helping to further her spiritual, theological, ecclesiological, canonical, educaXonal, missionary and philanthropic aims.

National Stewardship Ministries •  NaXonal Stewardship Ministries Mission Statement •  The mission of the NaXonal Stewardship Ministries is to teach, promote and establish the pracXce of true ChrisXan Stewardship in all Parishes and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. •  The vision of the NaXonal Stewardship Ministries is to have all Greek Orthodox faithful and Parishes, and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, fully on true ChrisXan Stewardship. •  Our goal is that by 2020 all Parishes and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America can fully meet their mission, support and expand an extensive array of ministries through true stewardship and eliminate their dependence on non-­‐steward support. •  We will raise the funds necessary to retain professionals to augment our volunteers in order to establish and engage an infrastructure that will research, educate, implement and support the pracXce of true ChrisXan Stewardship.

•  DAD Average increase over that period is 14.3% •  Cost of Living Adjustment for that period is 16.4% •  Top 5 parishes in DAD increased by: 80%, 46%, 41%, 38%, 33%
