I Am Open To The World I am open to the world and find a way To be engaged without being afraid. Of course I shudder as I count the cost And many are the twisted roads and lost, That travel on the byways to old age. But what is the alternative? To rage In paranoiac states, suspicions up? Employ a taster when I sit to sup? Better to cut the Earth up into stars And double heaven's light from here to Mars, So all may read your parchment of good will, By telescope or light from window sill. I add to trust the beauties of a vision. Made of pearls and azure in collision. I look at things as of I were a child, Am full of wonder as the night goes wild. Carl Estrin
