comes to visit.

IT’S NOT ABOUT THE ADDRESS, IT’S ABOUT WHO

Laura Kendall, Director

We are celebrating our fifth season and the focus is all on you. Our places of business may be 42 N. Prince Street and 60 West Cottage Avenue, but the energy, electricity, and passion you create when you take a seat and open your minds and hearts to the artists on stage is why these buildings exist. The word is out that our audiences are the heartbeat of the Arts at Millersville. Performers want to come back again and again to be with you. To celebrate, you will see in the following pages artists who have performed here before in a previous season, and artists who call Lancaster home. You will also see your friends, co-workers, neighbors and relatives sharing how the arts impact their lives. Without you, we would just be empty buildings and addresses. Instead, we are a living, breathing, dream come true. Thanks for being with us all 5 years. Here’s to many, many, more…

“All hail, Macbeth that shall be king hereafter. “ With these dramatic words the weird sisters fire Macbeth with an all-consuming desire to be king of Scotland and neither he nor his wife, Lady Macbeth, will stop at anything to gain the throne. A story of ambition, murder, and madness, the plot of Macbeth moves like the best Hollywood action-thriller and contains some of the most memorable characters in English literature. Parental guidance suggested.

Becca and Howie Corbett have everything a family could want, until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down and leaves the couple drifting perilously apart. Rabbit Hole charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day. Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize. “David Lindsay-Abaire has crafted a drama that’s not just a departure but a revelation—an intensely emotional examination of grief, laced with wit, insightfulness, compassion and searing honesty.” — Variety. Rabbit Hole is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York. Mature Themes.

All Campus Musical Organization presents THE WEDDING SINGER Music by Matthew Sklar Book by Chad Beguelin and Tim Herlihy Lyrics by Chad Beguelin Based on the New Line Cinema film written by Tim Herlihy March 17, 18, 19 - 8 pm March 20 - 2 pm Winter Center | Millersville The year is 1985 and the place is New Jersey when a wannabe rock star (professional wedding singer) is left at the altar and finally changes his tune. The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer’s sparkling new score does for the ‘80s what Hairspray did for the ‘60s. Just say yes to the most romantic musical in 20 years. Student directed by Christian Kriebel The Wedding Singer is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). Rated PG-13

A stranger at the next table who has had enough. And a dead man—with a lot of loose ends. So begins Dead Man’s Cell Phone, a wildly imaginative new satire by Sarah Ruhl. This oddball comedy is the journey of a woman forced to confront her own assumptions about life and death and the need to connect in a technologically obsessed world. Dead Man’s Cell Phone” is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. Strong Language, Mild Adult Themes.
