Estados Unidos Tres niñas de Denver se dirigían a Siria para unirse a ISIS, según la policía – CNN El grupo extremista ISIS ha logrado ser bastante atractivo para los jóvenes reclutas en Estados Unidos, pues de acuerdo a información seleccionada por inteligencia, más de 100 de los combatientes extranjeros de la organización antioccidental han acudido específicamente de Estados Unidos. El más reciente caso, es el de tres niñas de Denver de 15, 16 y 17 años que fueron sorprendidas por autoridades alemanas en el aeropuerto de Frankfurt cuando planeaban unirse a los militantes del Estado Islámico en Iraq y Siria. Tras la interrupción las jóvenes fueron enviadas de regreso a su país, donde el FBI las recibió, sin iniciar proceso judicial en su contra. Otro hombre salta la cerca de la Casa Blanca, es aprehendido en el césped por el escuadrón K-9 (Another man jumps White House fence, is apprehended on lawn by K-9 squad) – The Washington Post Una vez más la seguridad de la Casa Blanca es burlada por un hombre. El hecho tuvo lugar el pasado miércoles, cuando un sujeto de 23 años salto la cerca de la casa presidencial, los funcionarios encargados de la seguridad del lugar soltaron los perros del servicio secreto y custodiaron al joven, quien fue remitido a un centro de salud, tras recibir heridas de mordedura de perro. A pesar que el incidente no provoco grandes daños, la Mansión ejecutiva se mantuvo cerrada durante más de 90 minutos. El acontecimiento no es nuevo, vale recordar que el pasado 19 de septiembre un hombre logró penetrar los cinco anillos de seguridad de la Casa Presidencial.

EE UU investiga un ataque por posibles motivaciones islamistas – El País Las autoridades de Estados Unidos desarrollan una investigación que da muestras de la incursión del yihadismo en el país. Lo anterior como consecuencia del ataque perpetrado el jueves en la ciudad de Nueva York, cuando un hombre hirió sin medir palabra a dos agentes del cuerpo policial que se encontraban posando para una foto de un turista. EE.UU. refuerza medidas contra el ébola en sus aeropuertos – BBC Mundo
Desde el pasado miércoles 22 de octubre, el gobierno de Estados Unidos dio inicio al plan de salubridad que refuerza las restricciones de ingreso en sus aeropuertos, para todas aquellas personas que provienen de los países de África Occidental, que están sufriendo el brote de ébola. El plan implica que el personal civil que arriba al país, ingrese por uno de los cinco aeropuertos que han sido dispuestos para llevar a cabo un chequeo intensivo de los pasajeros, con el propósito de evitar el contagio del virus.

Tiroteo en la escuela secundaria de Washington cobra otra víctima – CNN
El pasado viernes se registro un grave incidente en una escuela secundaria en Washington, un estudiante de primer año abrió fuego con una pistola en la cafetería de la institución. Tras el incidente, tres personas resultaron heridas de gravedad y otras dos fallecieron. Gracias a la oportuna intervención de una maestra, el accidente no causo más daños, pues el joven pistolero fue aprisionado por ella. Europa Suecia podría usar la fuerza contra presuntos submarinos extranjeros— BBC News
El Contraalmirante Anders Grenstad dijo que se usaría la fuerza militar en caso de encontrar un submarino extranjero en aguas suecas. El Contraalmirante quien es subjefe de operaciones conjuntas en la búsqueda, dijo que no tenía "pistas" sobre la procedencia del posible submarino. Informes de las bombas de racimo utilizadas en Ucrania son "extremadamente alarmantes"— CNN
Según Informes de la ONU y Human Rights Watch, las Fuerzas Militares del gobierno ucraniano han usado bombas racimo en contra de los rebeldes pro-rusos, dejando decenas de personas heridas y al menos 7 muertas, incluyendo civiles. Este tipo de armas son como cohetes o bombas, que tienen decenas o centenares de bombas más pequeñas al interior, y que están diseñadas para descargarlas en una amplia zona cuando golpean el suelo, causando graves daños indiscriminados. Marino británico bajo sospecha de querer unirse a los kurdos en la lucha contra Estado Islámico — RT

2 detenidos tras los explosivos que se encuentran en Dinamarca — The Washington post
La policía danesa informó que dos hombres fueron capturados de forma individual, con 1 kilogramo de material explosivo, uno de los sospechosos tenía en su poder 500 gramos del explosivo. El sospechoso de origen paquistaní, el otro sospechoso es de origen danés y presuntamente tiene vínculos con el ejército. Las autoridades descartan que este hecho esté vinculado con la oleada terrorista del Estado Islámico en ciudades Europeas, sino que se trata de un caso penal ordinario.

Alemania está enviando Misiones de Entrenamiento Militar al Norte de Irak— The New York Times
El Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores Alemán, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, indicó que las misiones de entrenamiento militar buscan mejorar el adiestramiento militar de las fuerzas armadas kurdas en contra de grupos musulmanes terroristas, principalmente del Estado Islámico. Sri Lanka llama a elecciones presidenciales anticipadas— BBC News

Sri Lanka calls early presidential elections— BBC News
President Mahinda Rajapaksa is expected to seek a third term at the elections. In September 2010, Sri Lankan MPs voted to approve constitutional amendments allowing Mr Rajapaksa to seek an unlimited number of presidential terms. Mr Rajapaksa first won the presidency in 2005 when Sri Lanka was in the middle of a tenuous ceasefire agreement with the Tamil Tiger rebels and he won a landslide victory in 2010, and is currently serving a six-year term.

An army rescue team today recovered the 40th victim of Nepal's devastating blizzard last week. They were conducting a reconnaissance mission over the Thorong La Pass on the path down to Muktinath, where the worst effects of the storm claimed 14 of its victims. The north of Nigeria has been the epicenter of attacks by the militant group Boko Haram. In the last hours, an explosion occurred in the city of Azare, near to a bus station, leaving 5 people dead and 12 injured.
