Estados Unidos Control del Ebola en los aeropuertos se incrementará, dice Obama (Ebola Screening at Airports Will Increase, Obama Says) - The New York Times El pasado lunes 6 de octubre de 2014, el Presidente Barack Obama hizo un llamado a toda la comunidad internacional, para que se unieran esfuerzos en la lucha contra la epidemia del Ébola en África. Así mismo reiteró, que la enfermedad es una prioridad de seguridad Nacional y que por esto se ejecutaran medidas más estrictas para detectar el virus, principalmente en los aeropuertos de Estados Unidos y África Occidental. Barack Obama comprometió a Estados Unidos en un largo conflicto contra el Estado islámico (Barack Obama engage les États-Unis dans un long conflit contre l’Etat islamique) — LeMonde.Fr
Después de seis años de mandato, el Presidente Barack Obama parece haber modificado su estrategia en contra del terrorismo, pues al inicio de su gobierno se comprometió con poner fin a la participación del país en Irak, sin embargo hoy se ve obligado a enviar nuevamente tropas al lugar. Adicional a lo anterior, se suma el objetivo de destruir al estado Islámico, decisión que compromete nuevamente al país en un largo conflicto.

Protestas tras muerte de otro joven negro a manos de un policía — El Tiempo
El suburbio Ferguson, en Sant Louis (Misuri), volvió a ser escenario de discriminación racial, tras desarrollarse un enfrentamiento entre un policía y un joven negro. La pugna trajo como consecuencia la muerte del joven, quien al parecer fue el primero que disparo al oficial. Tras el hecho, manifestantes se reunieron para protestar y exigir justicia. FBI pide ayuda para identificar a yihadista del video de ejecución masiva de ISIS — CNN
El FBI pidió recurrir a su página web, para solicitar ayuda con la búsqueda de un yihadista que habla perfectamente inglés, y quien además, apareció en uno de los videos terroristas ejecutados por ISIS. Lo anterior se realiza con el fin de evitar que más extranjeros se unan a la lucha rebelde del Estado Islámico. Fuente: CNN

Europa Policía del Reino Unido arresta a 4 hombres sospechosos de complot terrorista (UK police arrest 4 men suspected of terror plot) —CNN Scotland Yard anunció que los cuatro implicados están detenidos bajo sospecha de cometer los delitos de "comisión, preparación e instigación de actos de terrorismo". Las autoridades no han detallado exactamente dónde o cuándo podrían haber ocurrido estos ataques, o de quiénes podrían haber participado, solo se sabe que Londres era el objetivo principal. Supervisión de la OSCE de la frontera entre Rusia y Ucrania es "demasiado débil", dice EE.UU. El cargamento de heroína más grande en Alemania encontrado por la Policía (Germany's biggest ever stash of heroin found by Police) — The Guardian

En la provincia de Essen al Oeste de Alemania, la policía encontró un cargamento de 330 kilogramos de heroína valorado en 50 millones de Euros. Este cargamento es equivalente a la cantidad total de heroína incautada en el 2013 en ese país. Durante el allanamiento fueron capturados dos hombres que transportaban el cargamento en un camión, donde la droga fue empacada en frascos de vidrio y se cree que era traída desde Turquía.

Atacante suicida checheno mata 5 policías y deja 12 heridos (Chechnya suicide bomber kills 5 police, wounds 12)— The Washington post
Según la Agencia Federal de Investigación, un hombre de 19 años se inmoló durante la celebración del cumpleaños de su líder pro-Kremlin en una festividad local en Grozny, capital de la provincia de Chechenia; el atacante activó los explosivos cuando varios agentes de policía se disponían a requisar al hombre, luego de activar el detector de metales que se encontraba en la entrada de una sala de conciertos.

Alemania: Trabajador Humanitario Secuestrado es Liberado (Germany: Abducted Aid Worker Freed)— The New York Times
Bernd Muehlenbeck, un trabajador de asistencia humanitaria alemán fue rescatado en Afganistán luego de pasar dos años secuestrado en Pakistán, éste hombre fue secuestrado en la cuidad de Multan en enero de 2012 junto con un colega italiano. La Cancillería alemana no dio detalles de cuando y cómo se llevó a cabo el rescate. Muertes en las protestas kurdas en Turquía (Deaths in Kurdish protests in Turkey) — Al Jazeera La policía disparó gases lacrimógenos y cañones de agua para dispersar a los manifestantes que quemaron carros y neumáticos, ya que salieron a las calles la mayoría de población kurda radicada en Turquía. Al menos 12 personas murieron en las manifestaciones en toda Turquía. Por otro lado, informaron los medios locales que esta población kurda exigía que el gobierno hiciera mucho más para proteger a los sirios kurdos. El presidente Turco, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, había advertido que Kobane estaba a punto de caer en manos de ISIL.
Al menos 16 personas han muerto desde que comenzó la violencia el pasado viernes, nueve de ellos paquistaníes y siete indios. Ambas partes se han acusado mutuamente de iniciar las hostilidades. Cientos de aldeanos huyen de sus hogares en la zona de Cachemira administrada por la India, dado que las tropas indias y paquistaníes continúan intercambiando fuego en los peores hechos de violencia de la región en esta década.

Mito del Ébola: DJ de Sierra Leona aborda rumores y mentiras en la radio (Ebola myths: Sierra Leonean DJ tackles rumours and lies over the airwaves) – The Guardian Amara Bangura es un locutor que tiene un reconocido programa de radio en Sierra Leona, en el cual hace un llamado a las autoridades para controlar la propagación del virus del Ébola. Bangura asegura que no todos los ciudadanos del país están siguiendo las directrices para evitar la propagación de la epidemia. Europa UK police arrest 4 men suspected of terror plot— CNN Scotland Yard announced that four suspects are being held on suspicion of committing the crimes of "commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism". Authorities have not detailed exactly where or when these attacks could have happened, or what or who could have participated, only known that London was the main objective. But according to the Metropolitan Police of that city, the four captured terrorist group would be linked to ISIS, and the attacks were designed to cause terror and deter the British government to continue the military offensive against the armed terrorist groups in Syria. Chechnya suicide bomber kills 5 police, wounds 12— The Washington post
According to the Federal Agency of Investigation, a man aged 19 blew himself up during the celebration of the birthday of his pro-Kremlin leader at a local festival in Grozny, capital of the province of Chechnya; the attacker triggered explosives when several police officers were preparing to seize him after turning the metal detector that was at the entrance of a concert hall. The bomber was wearing a police uniform and had the police identification. The terrorist attack left five policemen dead and 12 wounded with no civil affected.

Germany: Abducted Aid Worker Freed— The New York Times
Bernd Muehlenbeck a German humanitarian worker was rescued in Afghanistan after spending two years in Pakistan kidnapped; this man was kidnapped in the city of Multan in January 2012 with an Italian colleague. The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave no details of when and how they carried out the rescue. The NGO "Welthungerhilfe", in which kidnapped former worked, confirmed that has been given medical and psychological assistance, and recovery has been successful so far.

Japan student suspected of trying to join ISIS -Al Arabiya
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said on Tuesday, as the United States carries out air strikes on militant targets. Tokyo police are investigating the possibility that a Japanese student tried to travel to Syria to join Islamic State, Suga did not elaborate, but the Asahi Shimbun daily said police questioned a 26-year-old man, taking leave of absence from Hokkaido University in north Japan, about plans to go to Syria to join Islamic State as a fighter.

Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta to step down from office to attend ICC— The Guardian The Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta, faces charges of crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court, for inciting violence after the presidential elections conducted in 2007, where over 1,000 people died from it. Ebola myths: Sierra Leonean DJ tackles rumours and lies over the airwaves — The Guardian Amara Bangura is a recognized speaker who has a radio program in Sierra Leone, and which calls for the authorities to control the spread of the Ebola virus. 27 people who were abducted by Islamist group Boko Haram in Nigeria, returned to freedom in Cameroun, among them 10 were Chinese workers.
