Estados Unidos Arabia Saudita: Obama busca aliviar contragolpe sobre Siria (Saudi Arabia: Obama seeks to ease backlash over Syria) - The Guardian El presidente Barack Obama y el rey Abdullah se reunieron por más de dos horas en el desierto oasis del monarca, fuera de la ciudad capital de Riad. Asesores de Obama dijeron que los dos líderes hablaron con franqueza sobre sus diferencias sobre cuestiones claves, asegurando al rey que él mantiene su compromiso con la seguridad de la región del Golfo. Crisis en Ucrania: Los ministros de Estados Unidos y Rusia empiezan conversaciones en París. Europa Votación de la Asamblea General de la ONU Aísla a Rusia (Vote by U.N. General Assembly Isolates Russia) – The New York Times Naciones Unidad ya se ha pronunciado en contra de la anexión rusa de Crimea, Ucrania. La organización del tratado del atlántico norte (OTAN) empieza su movilización para hacerle frente a lo que considera la mayor amenaza a la seguridad mundial, a pesar de los recortes en defensa que ha sufrido durante estos últimos años, el despliegue de tropas en los países europeos, los más amenazados por cualquier ofensiva de Moscú debido a su cercanía geográfica y a la presencia de minorías rusofonas sobre las que tiene influencia, no se ha hecho esperar. Occidente teme que el intento del Presidente Vladimir Putin por ampliar su área de influencia no haya terminado. Además Ucrania no es miembro de la Organización Atlántica y Europa no tiene intenciones de empezar una nueva guerra.

Unión Europea anunció que reducirá dependencia energética de Rusia – BBC En medio de la reunión celebrada por los líderes de la Unión Europea y el presidente de los Estados Unidos, Barack Obama. En Filipinas, un Historico Acuerdo de Paz con los Rebeldes Musulmanes (Aux Philippines, accord de paix historique avec les rebelles musulmans) - Le Monde
El 27 de marzo el gobierno filipino encabezado por el presidente Benigno Aquino y el Frente Moro de Liberación Islámica firmó un acuerdo de paz, con el que se pone fin a una de las guerrillas más longevas de Asia. El acuerdo se logró con la creación de una región autónoma en el Sur de Filipinas, con carácter laico y que tendrá policía propia, un parlamento regional y la capacidad de aumentar impuestos. Sin embargo, se mantienen los obstáculos, principalmente las otras guerrillas que para impedir la aplicación del acuerdo, realizan ataques en el Sur de la península y la oposición de los responsables católicos del Sur que pueden intentar detener la ley que debe ser aprobada por el Congreso para que el acuerdo entre en vigencia.

África ONU: Millones de personas muertas y abusadas en Sudan del Sur - Aljazeera El Fiscal encargado de la misión de mantenimiento de paz en Sudan del Sur, informó que desde mediados de diciembre del año pasado han sido asesinadas y abusadas más de 1000 personas en dicho país. Herve Landsous declaró ante el Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU que a pesar del acuerdo de cese al fuego firmado en enero de este año por los grupos disidentes y el ejército, estos continúan con el desarrollo del conflicto debido a los intereses económicos que hay de por medio. Genocidio en Ruanda: El primer condenado en Francia – Le Monde Después de haber cumplido 20 años el genocidio en Ruanda, fue condenado a veinticinco años de prisión el Capitán Simbikangwa por la persecución y el asesinato de millones de muertos, principalmente Tutsis. Soldados de la Unión Africana toman control de la ciudad estratégica de Somalia – BBC Los miembros de la Unión Africana informaron que tomaron el control de Koryoley, ciudad que estaba controlada por Al Shabab, grupo que está en contra del gobierno Mogadiscio. Tras la toma de la ciudad por parte de este grupo, se registraron fuertes enfrentamientos, sin embargo, el grupo disidente se replegó a las afueras de la ciudad, logrando que los soldados y los funcionarios de la Unión Africana tomaran el control completo de la ciudad. Bangui en tensión, soldados de Chad dejan al menos ocho muertos. – Le Monde En Bangui, la capital de Republica Centro Africana, se informó que soldados de Chad dejaron al menos ocho muertos y un centenar de personas heridas que llegaron a “colonizar” a sus compatriotas que huían de la violencia en CentroÁfrica. Este grupo de soldados llego con la intención de disminuir el conflicto interreligioso entre musulmanes y cristianos, sin embargo se les ha acusado de tener una complicidad con el grupo rebelde musulmán Séléka y de ayudar a este grupo a hacer redadas para asesinar cristianos. Obama aides said the two leaders talked frankly about their differences on keys issues. Obama had assured the king that he remains committed to the security of the Gulf region. Saudi officials are very concerned about Obama's tepid response to the civil war in Syria and have pressured the U.S. so they can play a direct role.

Last Wednesday, the North Korean government made a test launch of two middle range rockets from a north province, violating UN resolutions that have banned these practices to Pyongyang. The council president, has expressed the UN condemnation and declared the members will meet quickly in order to have an appropriate response to these acts. South Korean Defense Minister and US State Department have also condemned the issue and have said that these kinds of acts are a clear provocation to the security in the area.

In Phillipes, an historic peace agreement with the muslim rebels (Aux Philippines, accord de paix historique avec les rebelles musulmans) - Le Monde The philipines government lead by President Beningo Aquino and the Islamic Front of Islamic Liberation signed the peace deal on march 27th, ending one of the longest guerrillas in Asia. The agreement was made possible with the creation of a autonomous region in South Philippines, that will be laicist, will have its own police, regional parliament and the capacity to raise taxes. Nonetheless, the obstacles are still there. First of all, the other armed groups have been making attacks in order to avoid the application of the agreement. Second, the Catholics in the South, may try to prevent the Congress from approving the law necessary to start applying the agreement.

Africa UN: Thousands killed and abused in S Sudan Aljazeera The UN peacekeeping chief in South Sudan, has informed that since mid-December last year has been killed and abused more than one thousand people in this country. Herve Landosus has declared at the UN Security Council, that despite of the ceasefire agreement signed in January, the dissident groups and the forces remain developing the conflict because exist economic interest in between. Likewise, the conflict has evolved and has caught ethnic nuances, which impacts South Sudan’s population.

The Lawyers of Simbikangwa denied the proves presented during the trial, because those were based on the testimony of the victims or eyewitnesses, but the corpses were never found. Soldiers of the African Union take control of Somalia’s strategic city – BBC The members of the African Union informed that they took control of Koryoley, city which was controlled by Al Shabab, group that is against the Moga discio’s government. After the capture of the city by this group, were reported heavy clashes, however, the dissident group retreated to the outsides of the city, making the soldiers and officers of the African Union to take full control of the city.
