Job Oportunity Travel Specialist Viaventure Central America is a Destination Management Company (DMC) established in 2001 that offers individually customized itineraries for Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Honduras. We are seeking a dedicated, organized, passionate and creative person, interested in working in the travel industry to join our Sales Team department. This position will work from our main office in Antigua Guatemala, with clients located mainly in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe. The successful candidate will draw upon creativity and problem solving skills to design and quote travel itineraries within the region. The candidate must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision and handle multiple priorities. Viaventure will provide training which will require full flexibility to travel to our different destinations in Central America to get acquainted with our tours and suppliers (e,g, hotels and third-party providers). Viaventure offers a competitive salary plus commission. Â
Basic Qualifications: Minimum two-year commitment Experience in the tourism industry (preferred but not a must) Interested in travel and knowledge of different destinations in Central America Excellent communication and grammatical skills with English been the preferred language Proven ability to work on own initiative. Can act decisively, promptly and confidently Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Excellent organizational and time management skills Energetic and positive attitude Willingness to work a flexible schedule, especially during high season

This artist has lived in her “adopted home,� Guatemala, for more than 20 years. She began to explore sculpture out of curiosity and considers herself self-taught in the discipline though she has undertaken formal studies. She sees herself as an artesian with a passion for building, experimenting and working with materials of all types in the three-dimensional form. Her themes of choice center around her experience as a woman; her role as a mother and as global ambassador for peaceful relations. Her art is a tool for searching, not only for herself but establishing links with family, society and the spaces in which we all live.
