FIRST HOME? Are you thinking about buying your first home? Perhaps you’ve already started looking for that dream place to call your own. Or maybe you’re already a homeowner, but are downsizing or returning to the market after many years. Whatever your situation, if you’re not familiar with today’s market and current financial rules, the prospect of taking on a home purchase can be quite daunting. You need to know the answers to questions such as: • Can I afford a home in today’s hot market? • Should I buy a resale property or a new home? • What are the new lending rules? • How much can I withdraw tax-free from my RRSP for a down payment?
