Kerry Altiero and Lani Stiles host our very own food and cooking program. In addition to in-studio interviews and cooking in our new NOSH kitchen, Kerry and Lani visit farms, restaurants, kitchens, and dinner tables all across Midcoast Maine. They focus on fresh local foods, the farm (and dock)-to-table movement, and generally everything we all love about the vibrant food scene in Maine. It’s fun, informative, and of course, always delicious.

Kerry Altiero

In 1993, Chef Altiero opened the edgy and eclectic Café Miranda in downtown Rockland. Café Miranda has long been a model of sustainability - vegetables come from Kerry’s own Headacre Farm as well as many other area farms, while meats and seafood are sourced throughout the region. Chef Altiero was named the 2012 Maine Lobster Council Lobster Chef of the Year and was awarded the 2013 Harvest on the Harbor Top of the Crop – Best Farm To Table Restaurant. In 2014 Chef Kerry released his first cookbook Adventures in Comfort Food.

Lani Stiles

In 2002, Lani Stiles moved to Maine and became the owner of Megunticook Market. Lani knew from the moment she walked in that this was ‘IT’. The market is a magnet for local producers, cooks and the community. Lani teaches cooking classes, leads food and wine pairings and creates beautiful dinner and event menus. For inspiration, Lani travels for food and wine experiences, and continues training at the Culinary Institute of America. And now Lani has added one more title to her resume… co–host of NOSH.
