MAX

HENRY

4 yrs., Hound

4 yrs., Beagle

Handsome and vocal hound, prefers a home with no other animals. May be able to live with older teens. Max LOVES his toys and would happily play all day or make a great hiking buddy.

Loves everyone he meets! Henry loves to snuggle and play with other dogs. He is good with children, but no cats. He is a bit of an escape ar st, so if you have a fenced yard it will need to be secure.

BELLY LAIN

BROGAN

1 yr., Great Pyrenees Mix

3 yrs., Ca le Dog Mix

People tell me that I’m a real eye catcher! I’m a real sweetheart, too! I’m a li le nervous living in my kennel at the shelter, but meet me outside and you’ll start to see what a treasure I truly am! I have tons of love to give.

Brushing, head/ear rubs, body massages are his favorite thing. He would do well as an only dog or with a confident female. Due to his size, not recommended for small children. He will need a strong proac ve and confident leader who u lizes posi ve reinforcement training.

og-lovers appreciate wonderful rescue and happily-ever-a er stories. The dedicated animal shelters, humane socie es, and rescue groups across the state have them in abundance. But not all are quick adop ons - some of the best take longer. In honor of the American Humane Associa on Adopt-a-Dog Month®, here are a few of those. Stevanie Roy, Director of Opera ons at Aug ic example of wai ng un l the best pet parent came forward. They came to KVHS in August of 2018 – they’d been le in a cemetery with their leashes ed together. Laid-back Jack and toyenthusiast Diane were healthy and seemed to have been well-cared for. KVHS staff tried to find their owners to no avail. During their stay at KVHS, 7-yearold Diane proved to be the boss of their applesauce. She kept Jack grounded, decided their adventures, and was loyal to a fault. On the other hand, 10-year-old Jack let her have all his toys, watched for her when she went outdoors, and was happy for her return.
