COACH SERVICE INFORMATION
Service Charges
Zone 1
£7.25 per day return
Occasional ticket £6.90 per single journey
Zone 3
£9.25 per day return
Occasional ticket £9.00 per single journey

Occasional tickets are available from the Porters’ Desk. Tickets will be collected by the driver at the start of the journey. Occasional tickets are not available on all routes.
Please note: I If you no longer wish to use the coach service, we require a half term’s written notice to the Bursar; without this notice it will be necessary to charge the fare for the remaining half of the term.
Late Coach Information
Late coaches run Monday to Thursday inclusive, providing a convenient and safe transport for students involved in extracurricular activities. Late coaches are free for students holding a termly ticket and are priced at the occasional ticket rate for zones 1, 2, 3 and 4. Students are required to sign up by 2pm on the day/s they wish to use the service by notifying the Porters at the main school entrance or by scanning the QR code.
We run six late coaches that travel North, North-West, South, East and West.
Students using the late coach from Hartswood at 5.30pm will be brought back to the main school with the option of either staying on that coach or transferring to an alternative late coach service at 5.45pm.

Reigate Grammar School
This service takes students arriving by train at Reigate train station to Reigate Grammar School in the mornings. It helps students who carry bags and instruments and gets students to school in time for registration. The cost of this service is £1.00 per day.
Trains running direct to Reigate include Guildford, Dorking, East Croydon, Purley Coulsdon South and Merstham. Almost all trains arrive into Reigate at just before 08:30.

Reigate Grammar School
The Oxted coach service can collect students arriving by train at Redhill train station to Reigate Grammar School in the mornings. The cost of this service is £1.00 per day.

Termly Tickets
Termly tickets are calculated on a term-by-term basis dependent on the number of days in school.
Occasional Tickets
Occasional tickets are available to all RGS students from the Porters’ Desk. The tickets will be collected by the driver at the start of the journey. Please note occasional tickets are dependent on spare capacity and will not always be available. Occasional tickets are not available on all routes.
Notice Period
If you no longer wish to use the coach service we require a half term’s notice, in writing to the Bursar, failing which it will be necessary to charge the fare for the half of a term.
Lost property
Any student property left on the coach will be returned to the depot and brought back to the school on the same day or the following morning. Please contact the Porters’ Desk for help locating lost items.
Late Coaches
Students are required to sign up by 2pm on the day/s they wish to use the late coach service by notifying the Porters. The Porters’ Desk is situated inside the Main Entrance.
Additional Stops
Coach routes are reviewed annually. Unfortunately, additional stops cannot be added on an ad-hoc basis as they would affect the current schedules and could compromise the considered safety measures.
