Our esteemed panel of judges deep in discussion for House Drama as we welcomed Old Guildfordian, actor & star of screen Jack Bardoe.
introduction to puppetry, Drama provided opportunities ranging from a stage fighting workshop, to an to an on-location rehearsal for the forthcoming Les Misérables.
Field Days and trips provided a wealth of opportunities outside the classroom, designed to challenge, stretch & broaden our boys’ horizons.

The RGS was delighted to welcome an esteemed – albeit two-dimensional – figure to mark the Platinum Jubi lee with our boys.
A beautiful summer’s evening as our annual Art Private View exhibition showcased artwork of extraordinary quality.
Our talented artists were on hand to talk about their artwork & provide an insight into the inspiration behind their work.
, expressive The winner of the Smoothey Art Competition was Sam Chapman, with his imaginative painting of the connection between petroleum products & the health of the planet.
The winner in the junior category was Theo Odhams, with his immaculately crafted, felted sculpture of a hare.
Junior boys also impressed with collaborative work based on the pop artist Keith Haring.

The Mayor & Mayoress of Guildford presented the Sports Day shield, as Austen retained the shield, just as they did 100 years ago.

A succession of individual & team highlights, but most importantly the boys played with sportsmanship & smiles in equal measure.
The Leavers’ Ceremony, our graduation ceremony for the Class of 2022, at Holy Trinity preceded the start of the RGS Leavers’ Ball.
A sparkling finale as the Class of 2022 signed off with a bang, as the Old Building & Guildford’s night sky were lit up in celebration.
Recent Old Guildfordians returned in numbers to reconnect & reminisce for
just one of our old boy events this term.

kindly & generously giving of their time to speak at our Careers Convention.
Our Old Guildfordians receive a warm welcome as we
continue our rich tradition of strong links between the RGS & Bhu Pu School in Besishahar, Nepal.
hed This year – unusually – sees a number of staff retiring after long & distinguis service to generations of RGS students: they will all be sorely missed.
Lasting memories, great friends, shared experiences, & plenty of smiles: just another break-time at the RGS!
