WELCOME TO EXCEL

The Autumn edition of Excel contains such a wide range of achievements and events across The RGS Worcester Family of Schools. This magazine provides a snapshot of the past few months and demonstrates the superb opportunities provided for the pupils by our staff.

Academically, our Schools continue to thrive with stunning A Level results which put RGS Worcester as the top Co-educational School in the West Midlands. BTEC and CTEC results were also so impressive, as were GCSE results at both RGS Dodderhill and RGS Worcester. It was wonderful to see over 95% of students achieve their first choice universities and apprenticeship places. This speaks volumes about the expert teaching and the excellent Careers guidance they receive.

Over the course of the last academic year, we have held more concerts and Drama productions than ever before involving more pupils performing. It has been wonderful to see the Creative and Performing Arts develop at all four Schools. In an Olympic year, we have had significant success in Sport for our teams and for individuals, including several pupils achieving county, regional, national and international representation. In a General Election year, we held our own school election to engage our pupils in the political process. Our Co-curricular provision, so important for our pupils’ development, wellbeing and mental health, continues to develop and excite our pupils.

With the arrival of AI in education, we have continued to develop our understanding and engagement of technology in learning, which has been recognised in national awards and we have shared our knowledge with other schools. Our community engagement has continued to grow with exciting links to Ghana alongside Outreach and Partnership events closer to home.

With so many opportunities, the pupils really do thrive at RGS and enjoy all that is on offer for them here. They work hard, engage with their teachers and in their learning, love the chance to develop their interests or try something new, and feel very much a part of a thriving school community.

If you would like to join The RGS Worcester Family of Schools then please do come and visit us either on our Open Mornings or during a normal school day. You will receive a warm welcome and experience the friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere at our Schools. We look forward to seeing you!
