Apologies: Fiona Duncan Deena Tissera Morgan Tunney Joana Waitte Last Exec meeting with the old and new sabaticals Francisca thanking everyone for all the work that has been done this year, reflect on the achievements that have been made and what can be improved next year. SPARG (meeting in June) have decided to keep the union building for another year. The union commits to vacant the building by the 31 st of May 2014. The student body have been sent an e-mail saying that the union is open for another year. The union will be based at Garthdee Campus but the commercial services (café and bar) will remain at the City Centre. Francisca suggested that the new sabbaticals should inform students about the changes. Achievements 2012/2013: Steve: • Impact on Liberation- a good LGBT presence, make a lot of contacts and networks, develop equality and diversity policy, get involved in a lot of campaigns- First Bus campaign, Save the Union campaign • Spend more time with other strands- minority groups and gain more knowledge • Establish liberation officers and help with university policy, a good handover folder was put together for the new Equality and Diversity officer Callum: • Worked better together as a team, recognised the achievements and improvements that have been made • Worked on more student cases this year, more contact has been made with Gray’s students

The no of students seeking help and advice has decreased University’ feedback and the printing facilities have been improved Worked closely with the faculty officers on different issues that have been arising during the year- a big set back Involved in union’s campaigns

Michele: • Enjoyed working with Francisca and Callum • Exec is running much better than before, has more structure to it- it has been suggested that a permanent date should be agreed for each exec • Faculty officers need to be managed more efficiently next year and with the right support they will work more closely with the union • Pleased with all the hard work delivered by the sabbaticals and the parttime officers • Hopes that next year is going to be a great one, taking the union to the next level and bound even more as a team Rachel: • Has been a good year fundraising, volunteering hours went up, attracted more students to get involved in community projects • Difficult at times to joggle everything • Working better with university’ s staff • Build more contacts to raise more money in the new academic year Paul: • • •

Has been a good year, been involved in environmental and ethics campaigns, raised more awareness about environmental issues across the campus The elections were better run compared to last year, they were more contested More events to be organised in the new year

Paddy: • There has been an increase in the number of students who get involved in sports • Excited for the big move when everyone is going to be based in Garthdee Francisca: • Being honest about what was happening in the union • Ensured that she wasn’t bombarding the students with loads of e-mails • Goal and goat – a good relationship with the students reps • Constitution review- an increase in the number of students taking part in the AGM • A wider student participation in campaigns and events • Enjoyed working with Callum and with most of the exec members • Attended many university meetings and committees • Pushed for more student media involvement • Students interns came to help design the Magazine and came up with a name for it: “Radar”- Paul to continue the development of the Student Media
