Updates and Achievements from Past Month Support and Guidance  Send initial communications to societies and groups, offering support and assistance with any event plans, and informing them of the ‘What’s On RGU’ platforms and RGU Event Society that they can make use of.  Formulate initial ‘Give It A Go Week’ plans and sent proposal to fellow staff and executive members, with key details such as dates and a basic outline of the week.  Create initial plans for the RGU Event Society, and produced content for Freshers Week, and worked to develop membership and make plans for the year. This project is behind schedule, and is slightly delayed due to recruitment requirements.  Attended the first executive committee meeting to discuss key policies and plans, as well as to further outline Freshers Week plans.  Work with Paul on media plans, such as assisting with designing and ordering media promotional items for Freshers Week, and making plans for the year.  Sit on committees such as Student Partnership Agreement, building social atmospheres committee, to provide event support and guidance on key university projects.

Awareness and Communication  Produce promotional content for the ‘What’s On RGU’ campaign, including flyers and give away calendars.  Post and promote content from ‘What’s On RGU’ platforms, including posts about Fresher’s Week events, society events and information about the campaign.  Attended meetings with regard to the media group, designed group logo, and ordered various

merchandise for Freshers Week.  Write events articles for Radar magazine as well as filming a range of videos for RGU:TV, including Freshers Week Teasers and a Campus Tour Video.  Made use of social media channels such as VP Twitter Account and Facebook groups to update students.

Investigate and Research  Began initial work on drafting Feedback survey to investigate and research student opinions on Freshers Week 2014.  Work with Paul and the Media teams to recruit volunteers for the media groups through Freshers Fayre.

Events and Entertainment  Assist with developing a working partnership with Campus/Garage as a Freshers venue, and for further society and group meetings  Assist in the planning and organisation of various Freshers Week events. Work on initial planning and promotion for all events. Supporting and running RAG BBQs, Silent Disco, Sports Day, Fit for the Future Fayre. Taking a very active role with Steve to conduct a wide range of class inductions. Run, and manage RGU:TV, RGU:Radio, Radar and Event Society stalls at Freshers Fayre.  Work on initial plans for Give It A Go Week, including sending initial proposals and outlining dates and key events.

OUTLINE CAMPAIGNS  What’s On RGU: I am working to create a combined events calendar for student, society, sports, media and other events. I have gained approval, and am working on developing the platforms and content for the launch.  Future of RGU:Union: Continue the discussion for the addition of a new RGU:Union City Centre Presence!
