It’s one of my favorite things about Jesus’ healing ministry: that He touched the people He cared for. He touched the untouchable and loved the unlovable. Certainly, the Lord was powerful enough that He could’ve just prayed over them. He probably could’ve just thought about their healing and had it accomplished. But Jesus knew something that we only strain to know: the healing power of touch. The necessity of touch. His were hands used for extraordinary means: to convey the very power of God into the world His hands had created: to love it, to serve it, to give His life for it.
