Rhino-Rack products are made of the highest quality, Australian produced materials. The legs are manufactured from UV stabilised glass reinforced nylon. The crossbars are extruded structural grade aluminium available in silver or black. All other components are stainless steel or have an anti-corrosive coating.

How much can they carry?

Vehicles with no rain gutters

This varies considerably from vehicle to vehicle, so always check the manufacturer’s recommended specifications. Gutter Mount legs are rated to 100kg per pair of crossbars. Removable roof rack systems to suit gutterless type vehicles are rated to 75kg per pair of crossbars. While the Track Mount systems are rated to 100kg per pair of crossbars, the capacity restriction is relative to the roof of the vehicle not the roof racks.

Rhino-Rack has a permanent Track Mount system which allows for adjustable bar positioning. The Rhino Fixed Mount system is mounted in one set position and used on vehicles with limited mounting area or load positions. We have also incorporated Mont Blanc’s range of fully removable gutterless style end supports into our Heavy Duty range. So if your vehicle has no gutters, it shouldn’t be a problem!

Stylish In Design The Heavy Duty Pad Mount systems integrate the sleek stylish lines of the vehicle while still incorporating the Rhino-Rack strength and durability that we are renowned for. The Pad Mount systems have the added advantage of all bars being level in height along the vehicle to assist in load carrying and looks. Of course all our existing Heavy Duty accessories are compatible with these systems and naturally, our security hardware is a standard feature.

Ute + Canopy

Rhino-Rack ute and canopy systems can be customised to suit varying floor pan profiles and cabin heights. The high quality structural aluminium ute post uprights can easily be cut to match an existing roof bar over the cabin. This system incorporates Heavy Duty Rhino-Rack crossbars, enabling the user to customise the system with the full range of Rhino-Rack accessories. Utility uprights are available in several lengths, check with your authorised dealer to ensure correct upright and crossbar specifications.

The RTRL adapter is the answer to attaching a guttermount leg to all Rhino standard Track Mount systems.

The removable RLK2500HALF-JB allows you to set the height of your ute cabin mounted support bar so itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s level with your uteâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s rear mounted posts or canopy racks.

With the changing shape of canopies on the market, especially where in a lot of the cases the front of the canopy (just behind the cab) seemed to slope away, there is a need to seal the post on varying angles.

Made from stainless steel, the RTRL offers you a flexible and universal mounting system to suit all Rhino tracks. The RTRL lets you level all 3 bars on a vehicle fitted with a canopy by utilising the different heights available in our existing Rhino gutter mount leg range and mounting them into tracks on the vehicle cabin. It is recommended that your load not be secured rigidly to all 3 bars because of vehicle independant movement between cab and tray.

The RLK2500HALF-JB + cross bar is for supporting long loads only and must be used in conjunction with 2 x rear ute posts or canopy racks. Supplied with hardware to fit a single Rhino-Rack Heavy Duty bar, it will also fit an aero bar with the addition of the aero bar adaptor kit part# CBPK-AERO

Rhino-Rack have developed a specifically designed canopy seal to alleviate the hard task of sealing the canopy around the post on an angled surface.

Canopy Track Mount Tracks are mounted to the canopy, hard top tonneau and hard top resin roofs. Crossbars can be adjusted along the tracks to accommodate your various loads. RLCP and RSP style legs can only be used with this system.

Canopy Rack Systems The bent canopy posts transfer the load directly to the utility bed floor and are braced to the side to give further support. The one piece uprights protrude through the canopy roof and can be adjusted to suit cabin bar heights. Rock solid, well braced and practical in their design and function. Bent uprights follow the profile of the vehicle allowing maximum payload space within the canopy. Rear Boat Loader

The Rhino Boat Loader is designed to take the hard, back breaking work out of lifting car topper boats onto 4WD's or other high roof style vehicles. Unique for its single person operation, the Rhino Boat Loader will give years of boating pleasure.

How does it work?

• One man operation

a. Four ropes are attached to the boat, two at the stern and two approximately three quarters the way to the bow, via eye bolts fitted to the boat.

• Worm drive winch operated by cordless drill • Carries boats up to 80 kg • Loads and unloads the boat from the ground to a secure transport position on the vehicle in one simple winding operation • Simply the best loader in the world. • Lengthens your fishing career by 10-20 years when you reach that back-breaking age!

Limitations • Not suitable for inflatable boats • Best with boats up to about 12' in length (when used on 4wd vehicles), with flat bow rail. Boat’s with raised bow rail will foul on the front roller when unloading (This is not a limiting problem though) • Boats with major gunwale protrusions will not roll on

b. When the winch is turned, the rope coils on the power roller and the boat in turn stands vertically at the rear of the vehicle OFF the ground supported by the 2 transom ropes. c. With the balance point of the boat being at/or below the very rear pivot roller, it is pulled over and then pulled forward to its final transport position. d. When unloading, it is the weight of the boat and the friction between the boat and the winch power roller which winds the boat backwards. Gravity takes its course with the boat doing exactly the opposite to what occurred in the loading operation. e. When on the ground, undo the quick release snap shackles on the end of all ropes and start fishing!Options and Extras needed? Customers needs and requirements all vary. 1. Most 4WDs have a 2" receiver hitch towbar. The use of the lower contact point “H” frame is recommended to minimise damage to bumper bars or lower parts of the vehicles. 2. The Rhino commercial crossbars which the boatloader attaches to, must be 240mm wider than the beam of the boat. If the boat width is 1460mm, then 1700mm crossbars are required.

Questions and Answers

1. Will it fit my station wagon? No, the balance point of 10'-12' boats ( 3 to 3.5m ) will be much higher than the position of the rear pivot roller. So the boat will be too top heavy and tend to crash down on the vehicle when flipping and rotating over. 2. My spare wheel is mounted on the rear of the vehicle. Is it in the way? Will the boat loader work in this situation? Yes, on 4WD applications the boat makes contact with the lower contact point (bumper bar or usually the “H” frame) and ‘cups’ itself over the wheel. Narrow boats may require positioning the boatloader off slightly to one side. 3. What size boat can I carry? 10-12'. ( 3 to 3.5m ) Maximum boat weight 80kg. 4. Can it load an inflatable boat? No, it is designed for aluminium boats and protrusions on the gunnel will affect the on/off rolling ability for loading and unloading. 5. How many people are required to operate the boat loader? Just one.

6. Can I fit it to my current cage? Yes, with the addition of crossbars on top of an existing secure structure the boat loader may be mounted on top. 7. I’ve got my boat, now can you tell me what sort of vehicle will I need to carry it with? The long wheel based 4WDs are best. Toyota’s 80, 100 series, Prado, Holden Jackaroo, Nissan Patrols and older model Pajero’s. Where a track mount system needs to be mounted onto the roof, be careful of thin roofs and pot-holed highways – with the load being directly transmitted to the roof. Note: 100 Series, Prado 2002 onwards and Jackaroo should use boats of 75kg max, and a maximum beam width of 1500 mm due to the vehicle mounting points being so far in towards the centre of the vehicle. 8. What sort of boat is best? Aim for a boat with no gunwale protrusions, 10-12' long ( 3 to 3.5 m ), not too wide as you must remember the required roof crossbar width will be no less than 240mm wider than the beam of the boat. Keep the weight below 80kg and you should be in business. Ask your marine dealer for a boat which suits the above requirements.

Side Boat Loader

The Rhino-Rack Side Boat Loader is the perfect solution for loading and unloading your tinnie solo. With our simple one man operation you can easily load and unload your tinnie from your vehicle with a battery powered cordless drill. (Rhino-Rack recommends an 18 volt drill.) The Rhino-Rack Side Boat Loader can be used on a range of vehicles including 4WD's, low roof camper vans and station wagons.

Unique Worm Drive Operation

How does it work? The basic principle is in dragging the boat up two ramps set at approx a 50 degree angle to the ground and over the top of the vehicle by means of a 40/1 worm drive gear which turns the winding roller. Ropes are attached to the far side of the boat and also 2 shorter gunnel ropes are attached to the near side. When lifting commences, the boat is “flipped” over and then slides up in the inverted position. The unloading is opposite to the loading procedure... The worm gear is put into reverse mode and a short amount of slack is generated in the winding lines. With the boat resting on very slippery main support bar, one hand is used to gently push the boat approx 100mm until the gunnel goes over the curve of the upper ramp. From then on gravity takes over. Depending on the angle of the ramps, the boat may need some assistance in its final reverse flip back down to the ground if it does not have the sufficient weight in the keel in relation to the boat angle. Continue unwinding the lifting lines and develop another say 400mm of slack. Then by hand gently push the boat “over centre”. After this the boat will continue lowering by itself to its final resting position right way up on the ground. Detach the 4 x snap shackles and your in business. The key requirement in loading and unloading is that the vehicle must be on level ground as the ramp structure and main support crossbars are extremely slippery. Should this not be the situation, the boat will slew around somewhat and vehicle damage may result. A second person can always be used in adverse conditions to stabilise and stop any forward or rear excessive slippage.
