Crossbar Types

How much can they carry?

Here at Rhino-Rack, we have a range of crossbars to choose from. Our most popular styles include Aero Bar, Heavy Duty Bar and Euro Bar, each specifically designed to provide strength and durability in all situations. Heavy Duty and Aero crossbars are available in two different finishes - anodised (Black) and clear anodised (Silver).

This varies considerably from vehicle to vehicle, so always check our website for your specific vehicle model, or speak to your local expert dealer. As an example of our Gutter Mount systems are rated up to 100kg for a two crossbar system, and can go as high as 150kg for our 3 crossbar fixed mount system. Always remember that our engineers design roof rack systems according to the available capacity of the particular vehicles roof.

When you're travelling around Australia, and you need to carry a shovel, the best way is to use the RSHB. Sold as a pair, these brackets are made from strong glass reinforced nylon and come with an adaptor to suit either Rhino Heavy Duty or Rhino Sportz and Aero bar. The RSHB also comes with a special Allen Key to adjust the Holder, and the shovel is held on by a large screw knob located on one side of the holder.
