Our Rowing and Paddle Sports department has been working hard to prepare our facilities, equipment, and training programmes so that we are ready to hit the water with great speed offering a multitude of options for all our members and course participants. We are looking forward to resuming our competitive training programmes for rowing, dragon boat and outrigger canoe as soon as we can do so.

Our long-waited Level 1 course will be back in May and the Summer camps to begin in June.

Rowing Level 1

Learn a new sport and experience natural surroundings on the south side of Hong Kong Island on our Rowing Level 1 Course, you will have the chance to learn the fundamentals of rowing over a two-day weekend introductory / refresher course. Our intro courses cater to all skill levels, whether you are an avid sport enthusiast, a longtime rower who wants to enter back into the sport or you just want a sample of what an outdoor sport in Hong Kong has to offer.

Summer Rowing Camps

Summer rowing camps are for all any under 18 learners seeking an outdoor week, our summer camps held from 0900hrs to 1500hrs offer a chance for young learners to get outdoors and explore the world of rowing in a fun and safe environment where attendees can look forward to games and rowing related water activities with our team of excellent coaches. There are no skill level requirements for attendance at any of our camps, so if you are looking to sharpen your already strong rowing skills or if you would just like to try something new, our popular rowing camps are just the thing for you.

DRAGON BOAT

The Royal X team and new joiners will be excited to know that we aim to reschedule all introductory courses and hope to get this great team back on the water as soon as we can. For our Junior paddlers aged 12 to 17 years we hope to run training once the racing calendar is confirmed, so please keep your eye on the club website for any announcements!

OUTRIGGER CANOE

It’s been a long wait and we are keen to resume training with the development programme. The highly popular introduction courses will be back up and running at the end of May (TBC) for all interested to learn the sport. Lots to get excited about!

STAND-UP PADDLE BOARD (SUP)

SUP Basics (Introductory course) and SUP rentals (only for those who have completed the course) are scheduled to resume on the weekend of 23 and 24 April.
