This summer, the Family Panel Sub-Committee kept children busy and happy with four different workshops: Papier-mâché, Fairy door hunting and making, Tie-Dye and Jr Master Pastry Chef.

The children showcased their boundless creativity and impressed all with their colourful imagination. We also discovered a few keen young chefs who made some bold ingredient choices that ultimately gave the judges a delightful surprise. While everyone had a dozen of pastries to take home to share, most were gobbled up as soon as they came back from the oven. Congratulations to Samuel for winning the title of RHKYC’s first Jr Master Pastry Chef and to Jonas, first runner up.

If you have ideas for future workshops, write a note in the members suggestion book! Family Panel Sub-Committee would love to hear from you.
