A Reserve rider will accumulate points for any race meeting they are able to participate in, within the Championship. A Reserve Rider who was not allowed to start in the first race can do so in the Second or Third block of racing if a space becomes available, providing the Rider presents themselves in the Waiting Zone at the stipulated time. A Reserve Rider who took part in any of the first block of racing is not guaranteed a space in the second or third, if all the Registered Riders are in the Waiting Zone. ACU BRITISH YOUTH & UNDER 21 CHAMPIONSHIP ELECTRONIC TIMEKEEPING TIMING Electronic Timekeeping will be used throughout the duration of the Race. It is the Riders Responsibility to ensure their Transponder is securely affixed to their Machine and fully charged for Racing. The Transponder will be checked on entering the Waiting Zone, however this is to ensure the Transponder is on, it will not indicate if it is fully charged. A Timing Loop will be placed at the finish area.

TIMING SCREEN There will be two Timing Screens, one of which will be situated in the Work Area. Timing information is relayed through Wi Fi. Weather conditions and Broadband reception will dictate the reliability of the consistency of displaying the live timing.

Please note interference or in some cases outages may occur with the live timing and timing screens at events due to disruptions in the channel for the signals travelling from the source to the receiver. These can be caused by radio frequency (RFI) and/or electrical interference (For example power lines, electrical equipment, phone masks) in the area.

LIVE TIMING Please note due to the radio wave signals being transmitted from the timing system (Uplink) to satellites (Downlink) there maybe a delay of up to a minute for live timing to refresh on Speedhive. Other factors to take into account in regards to slow internet speeds which may in return cause a delay in the live timing can be:   

Personal Device Data Speed Built up areas with multiple people using 3G, 4G or 5G network connections Areas with no/low network connections for mobile devices

The above factors may result in a variance to race positions being shown on Speedhive, as opposed to those on the Timing Screens and published results at a given time. Live Timing is available through the following:

 Link Speedhive Results - https://speedhive.mylaps.com  Link Speedhive Live Timing - https://speedhive.mylaps.com/LiveTiming Speedhive Live Timing App can be downloaded from Android and Apple Stores
